New Bat Please Help

Hi can someone please help me, I recently bought a kookaburra blade 250, and it says Pre-Prepared and Knocked-In, but then on Kookaburra website it says to Oil and Knock-In????

Last year I bought a G&M icon 606 and that said Pre-Prepared and knocked-In and that was ready to go, so I’m a little bit confused as I don’t want to over oil it and I’ve got nets next week J

Any help much appreciated

It will probably need some oil applied to the back of the bat (and the face if it is not covered). One or two applications will not over oil the bat, especially if you only apply small amounts.

A small amount of additional knocking in won't hurt either.
 
Thank you Sage, so apply a small amount of oil, then can I fit an anti scuff sheet and start knocking it in? Or should I let the oil soak in for a couple of days?

If it is clear anti scuff you're probably best off leaving the face un-oiled (but oil the back of the bat). If it's a cover with lines on then you can probably get away with a bit of oil.
