He has a bad back and cant keep so the only batsman they wanted to drop was Marshall and he slots in there

England's top order is in a bit of trouble. Don't have the time now but I am sure I read somewhere about their poor form with the bat in the test matches. Some pretty poor batting averages from all the side. Not 100% sure if it is what I am thinking of

Bell, Collingwood, Pietersen and Ambrose are all struggling. Not a good thing to be relying on Vaughan, Strauss and Cook to make all the runs.

And Cook has only had 1 50 anyway :eek:

Pietersen and Ambrose both need to get at least 50 to give England some sort of a chance.

KP ncie little ton there. Did look pretty good, even though he needs some advice on his choice of haircut at all times.

New Zealand must be spitting chips letting them get away like that shocking form

Pietersen and Ambrose really saved England there. New Zealand will be disappointed to no finish them off after having them in some big trouble early on.

O'Brien and Mills bowled well. O'Brien needs to keep taking wickets otherwise he might find himself out of the line-up if he doesn't perform.

Could be quite possibly the new All-Rounder.

Did read that he was quite the opening bat in his younger days before the growth spurt happened and his bowling took over.

Has massive shoes to fill (with Flintoff)

Anderson is destroying New Zealand at the moment. He's taken another two wickets to have the kiwis in some trouble at 4/66. Anderson had Ross Taylor caught at deepish point from the start of his 10th over and then three balls later, Daniel Flynn was LBW for a duck.

Jamie How is holding New Zealand upright at the moment, he's 31 not out and will have to go on and make a big score for the kiwis to stay competitive.

England are bad but come on the New Zealanders are jsut plain rubbish. How is the only one with some sense, Taylor still young but has potential. There top/middle order would be one of the worse in World Cricket
