Another flag behind them can only strengthen their case fir next season. But if the DV have a closed shop then they are snookered. Might have to try another comp.

The DVCA/JIKA/HDCA merger shouldn’t have been blocked when it was about to happen over a decade ago. Every club would have found their level. In any case, local fiefdoms don’t help the game to develop at all.

Weren’t chargers and Lalor booted out? Not sure you’d want to be traveling from Rezza/Preston to Donnybrook or Tarneit but good luck to those that do.

If the league is dying like everyone says it is and everyone knows DV aren’t taking any new teams in nwmca is the only option for clubs to survive if it goes the way everyone is saying it’s going

Not really fear mongering just a polite conversation about a situation that the league had been in over past couple of seasons. In saying that it seems like it’s gotten off to a good start which is something everyone in the nmca should want compared to the past few years

Cricket Victoria will step in if the league folds as expected, at least you’d hope.

There are clubs on or a bees dick off Plenty Road with strong junior programs and women’s programs and I’d like to think they wouldn’t be so stupid as to kill them by not stepping in if they’re sent off to play in far flung parts of the West each week which isn’t sustainable long term.

Like I said earlier, the NCL was the prime model and should have happened. Cricket Vic shouldn’t have bent the knee at the last minute.

Cricket in the north needed a united comp 15 years ago and it’s late now but better than never.

Let the DVCA run it, keep the name, I don’t care. I’ve no attachment to Jika I just want the clubs around my area to survive and thrive.
