re: North A and B 10/11

The Pascu/Albers combo has done it again for A/Park on the weekend. Another 5 wicket day for Pascu and Albers steps up when his team needed him with a century. They were 7/130 at one stage and suddenly 216 seemed a long way off, but they pulled through to have the upper hand after day 2.

The first hour will be huge on Saturday, Jacana need to knock the last 3 over pretty quickly and then build a lead so they've got something to bowl at on Sunday. Still very evenly poised but looks like a really good GF. And the ground at Westmeadows has improved out of sight from a few years ago, well done to them.

Well done Phil getting ur club into another Granny thats the only measurement that counts mate.

If the General is hated but wins the war do we remember the General for being hated or for winning the War?

Gentlemen ur opinion on Phil counts for zero he will be judged on what success he bring to W/C full stop.

Get over the whole is it right is it fair crap its sport play hard and leave it on the field its the Australian way.

Leave it on the field??????
Your not talking about the same bloke who sooked up on here about his seconds being called cheats are ya????

Was a very interesting game of cricket over the weekend in NorthA. M/Valley got of to a great start 1 for 70 odd then lost a few wickets to be 7 for 143.
Gauci and Chaudhary batted great waited for the wright ball then just hit it.

7 Dropped catches might come back to hurt W/C and they have already dropped one in the second inning's.

W/C bowling is very quick but i think they bowled to short M/Valley let alot of balls go , if they can get them playing at more balls next weekend could turn into a very exciting last two days of cricket.

M/Valley will be looking to make at least 200 in there second dig and if they do i cannot see W/C chasing down 280 to win. W/C need to bowl M/Valley for under 130 to be any chance i think

Its a credit to your club with the wicket that has been produced for the GF, it looked like a belter.
Has the wicket been like that all year or has some xtra work gone into it because its the GF?

re: North A and B 10/11

Good luck to all players this weekend, should be some great games on offer.

A1- I would love to see the Valley take this one out, there a great bunch of blokes who play the game in the right spirit. I feel with W/C bowling being so strong, it may just give them the edge. I'de hate to read this site if centrals to get up, mullet head might crash the server with his posts

told use lol
another flag thats wot we play for lol
got a spare hose lol

B1- Gunna be a cracker of a game, they always produce tight contests that can go either way. I like Aber Park in this one

Been like that ever week except for the W/C game when the pitch had to much in it for us.

Nippy dose a great job with the wicket's always up there at 6am every day.

Was up at 4am Sunday morning think he was a bit nervous, he loves his wickets

If your referring to the rain causing disappointment your correct for the first time Phil. Won't rain Phil because it's not at your home ground & you won't be able to hide this time...Are u sleeping a bit easier mate knowing Dunn & McCammond didn't get to have a crack at you? U can be honest Phil people might actually believe u this time...

yeah a bit dissapointed we didnt play last week , but every club knows if u finish in the top 2 , u go through if it rains , so we as a club made sure we finished in the top 2

It also helps when you play seddon and C/Burn twice instead of 2 of the top 5teams like St Albans did

I agree you can only play who the league gives you, thats why i don't like a 10 team comp 8 or 12 are best.

Anyway good luck to all that's playing this weekend. I will be down there for all 4 days hoping it's a very good game of cricket

Phill it is a different pitch to the one you played on last time at east keilor, the wickets are looking great should prove an even contest with bat and ball

re: North A and B 10/11

Any Aber Park or Jacana boys on here that can give an update on their respective teams?
Albers would be struggling to walk still after bowling 25 overs and batting 60+, Pas bowled 25 overs on the Sat and Bennett bowled 30 on the Sunday, there would have been some sore boys come Tuesday training !!
Looks like a ripping games that will go down to the wire Sunday arvo..
Whos gunna take the flag home?

i am glad it will be a good pitch , but i am sure our 2 quicks can bowl on concrete and still scare batsmen

Just hearing the weather forecast, they're saying showers all weekend. Let's hope rain doesn't spoil the contest, because this has the makings of a ripping GF.

Certainly going to go to the wire mate. Hopefully the rain will hold off and Chunk and Buzz can duplicate what they did last week. With 3 wickets in hand you don't need to be a genious to realize we need to bat for as long as possible and get as big a lead as possible.

Pas and Bennett are both young so I'd expect both of them to shape up nice and fresh. Chunk is very well accustomed to getting himself right so I wouldn't be too concerned about him either.

Going to be a ripper finish

Tuesday was a solid session and everyone is raring to go this weekend. Anyones game and whoever wants it more will win. I know we want it pretty bad. Good luck to jacana. Go parkers

It is cricket, so is when Maca bounced you other young players in the 1s and yet you took it out of proportion. think twice when you come accross the same situation and tred lightly.

Would certainly want to be on your gusrd, jacana are the reverse outright specialists!! It would be a disaster to lose the game after the cc has basically won the game of his own bat. It have been disappointing and from what I hear Aber park were in desperate trouble. Quick last 3 wickets and it's game on no doubt about it!! Just the 2 reasons why I would like to see Abers win.

st albans and hoppers by a mile , united need to pick up bowlers and seddon if they keep grant , the 2 sides that are comeing up jacana i like a park just 2 old wont win a game in a grade

Phil, probably not enough respect on the aberfeldie park side of things. Give credit where credit is due, they were probably a toss of a coin from playing you in granny last year. I would think you guys would still have nightmares about Pascu and his 10 fa match a couple of years ago. You were up in arms about the lack of respect for your side earlier in the year, so don't dismiss a side playing in their 3 finals series in 4 years. Must have something

Phil, I have to disagree with you on one front when it comes to kids. People go into games carrying injuries, but once you cross the white line, every player is fit and ready to go. No excuses. It's the same with a kid. Once that kid crosses that white line its fair game. You of all people know what it's like to play the game hard so enough about looking after young Sam etc etc. If there captain believes they are good enough to play 1st's cricket, then FAIR GAME.

On another note, has anybody considered what might happen next week if Werribee gets first innings points this week. Just something to ponder boys, just something to ponder.

Lastly, good luck to all players playing this weekend, and yes, that includes you Phil. May Moonee Valley win, I mean may the best team win

re: North A and B 10/11

moonee valley all out 240 in second dig with pererra making chancless 125 not out. WC 1 for 3. Crea back to his best. Threatening Mv players.. Calling them cheats(now thats ironic) then true to form when being smashed around the ballpark conveniently left ground to sit on sidelines whilst his team slugged it out on the field. Then chose not to open and face 1 over. Phil you have proved once and for all to be the soft frontrunning spineless jellyfish that your facade has been hiding.

not bagging the club ,just cant see enough young players comeing through, pascu is a very good bowler thats why st albans have signed him up for next year

Thanks fat man - congrats to u and the moonee valley boys to. Great bunch of blokes that thoroughly deserve their success.

While I'm here - congrats to my beloved Aber park - magnificent season capped off by a comprehensive gf win.

Fat man I'm sure we'll bump into each other somewhere near mt Rd lol

re: North A and B 10/11

CONGRATULATIONS Moonee Valley!!!

I personally didn't rate you all year, but you can only beat what's put in front of you,
and you blokes did that by winning the minor premiership and the Grannie.

Good Luck in NTH Division next year.

Well, i can say that i had the great pleasure of witnessing the greatest knock i have seen in my 26 years of cricket - Matt Albers scored 128 not out today in a classy and chanceless innings - it has been said by many on here before, but the bloke is a ****ing genious

Haha ... To all you so called armchair experts not rating MVCC in A1 this year, hope you're enjoying a bit of humble pie.

B1 was a lot tougher than this grade. My advice ... get off bigcricket and instead put some time into your training otherwise you'll get smashed by Abers Park coming up nxt yr. You all ain't as good as you think you are!!!

Good luck in A1 nxt year. Will send a postcard from North Div :D

:) Mate you ain't showing much humility either, especailly when you ask others to show some.

I take my best wishes/Good luck to MV in NTH Division back :)

you say:- You all ain't as good as you think you are!!!
Ofcourse not, i agree its embarrasing playing in a grade where Mvalley wins a flag, a side which with the exception of 1 player A Perrera can't bat, and when it comes to bowling - with the exception of pridham and to lesser extent Raj can't bowl

I admit NTH A is rubbish (a side like MV winning proves that) no one to my knowledge on this thread said it was good? (or as good as it used to be)

When it was good the likes of MValley didnt' last long, remember those seasons? MV just like Abelfeldie struggled to win a game.

In season 2010/11 you'll findout what NTH A used to be like, almost all the clubs competing in NTH Division now once made up a strong NTH A comp,i wouldn't be surprised to see the likes of you back in A in 2011/12 especailly if NTH Division remains a 10 team comp.
