I have visited other sites today, who have been moaning that it was a bowl out, not a tie. I think it is/was a great way to finish off a game

It's fine considering it's 20twent,y someone on cricinfo was saying 'Cricket could do without this gimmick' AHEM, you could be talking about 20twenty or the bowl out, they are both crowd pleasing 'gimmicks'

In a knockout, fine. In a group stage, no. Rubbish way to finish a match.

Like ending every drawn football match with a penalty shoot-out. That was actually proposed in England last year and was met by fury by all fans.
