Problem

Why am I getting subscription notices when in my profile I have got do not subscribe to threads?
It is really pissing me off.

You might have manually subscribed to a forum or thread? Remove all the subscribed threads from your Control Panel.

I have done that already. But it keeps on happening. I Have it on DO NOT SUBSCRIBE. Which means I shouldn't be getting ANY subscriptions to ANY of the threads.

First go here
Select all thread and in the drop down box, click on "No email notification". Be sure that you have done this with all your Subscribed threads.

Now, go here.
In the "Default Thread Subscription Mode" field, select "Do not "Subscribe" from the drop down menu.

You're done!

they may be old subscriptions prior to your changing your setting?
