repairing cracks

what would people recommend, my bat has a slight crack in the outside edge that proablly needs fixing should I use some wood filler, fibre glass tape or something else?

Re: repairing cracks

Can you get a photo of the crack?

Easy option is to fill the crack with wood glue and then clamp it overnight. Sand off excess glue and put some fibre glass tape on the bat to provide strength.

Bigger cracks may need a little bit of filling (wedge of wood glued in, excess cut off and final sand) or for large holes on the surface something like car body filler. Really depends on the crack.

Re: repairing cracks

Hard to make out but I'm going to suggest that the best option is to get some wood glue in there and clamp it. If you can, gently lift the wood up to get some glue under it.

Add some fibre glass tape to it after the glue has dried for strength.
