Re: results?

MGS 8 dec for 332 def. Wesley 220.

MGS won the toss and chose to bat on the mgs main, losing two early wickets however s. land and shaw put together a partnership of almost 200 with land on 80 n.o. and shaw 102 n.o. overnight. Both went early the following morning however gooley (42), keath (25) and cameron (22n.o.) pushed the runs along very quickly to bring the total to 330.

With the pitch having flattened out to a batsman's paradise, it was left to the spinners to do the job for mgs. Richo Thomas took 5 wickets in an amazing performance and bettsy took 4. Simon Hall and Hamish gairns both batted well making 50s but were both removed by richo.

A great win by mgs, with the match of the season coming up against Xavier at XC

Re: results?

Scotch won the toss and batted at carey on a slow deck with some variable bounce and a lush outfield. Scotch looked good early moving to 0/74 off 20 overs with clayton punishing the carey pacemen. scotch then lost clayton (58) and mather (15) in quick succession and lost 3 more quick wickets to slump to 5/107 at tea. O'Beirne and Vandenbroek put on a valuable 40 as did O'beirne and Grose before o'beirne was out for a valuable 45. scotch were 8/189 over night. spoils shared

day 2 saw scotch bowled out for 207, a competitive total. Carey lost early wickets and were 3/38 at lunch, with scholarship player joe loohram falling for a 19th ball duck, although the deicision was contentious. carey battled along to be 5/115 and looking good with richardson 65* before scotch claimed 3 wickets in 4 balls including th prized wicked of richardson which spelled the end for carey, they were eventually bowled out for 167

although some poor umpiring favoured scotch i think carey will agree that they were, in the end, outplayed by an intense scotch outfit.

Re: results?

skevs won the toss and batted. pitch looked good but was tough on friday, with quite a few decent batsman not persisting long enough in the conditions. as conditions improved, the middle order helped out, lightfoot with a well grafted 51 and turnbull a quickfire 54 to help skevs to 181.
in reply skevs were on top early, debutant mark stafford removing dangermen lugg and kitchen within 3 balls on his way to 3/7 off 8. geelong barely put up a fight, falling apart and barely avoiding the follow on to be dismissed for a meagre 84 on what became a very good batting pitch.
skevs batted again declaring at 2/88 after 17 overs, karageorgiou 37no, hoppe 26, turnbull 23no.
skevs bowled again but the game was called off at 5.30 with geelong 2/17 after 16 overs.

skevs outfit looking very good with the ball.

Is Griffo still injured? Is he bowling for St Kevs? Sources tell me he has a crook elbow.

Re: results?
