:eek: You can get arrested for doing the Wave?? This is a joke right?? No doubt this will get the attention of the media here in the US. From what I was told, the Wave was invented in Mexico, prior to the US starting to use it in a mass scale. Word has it, prior to 1980's which is when it was claimed to have been invented, the fans at the bullfights in Mexico and Baja California were doing "The Wave". But there are so many disputes about who invented it and when it was invented. Its actually a very cool thing, if you are the person starting the Wave. To get a reaction from a few people in your section of the stadium, and watching the reaction travel all the way around the stadium and back again. I guess its the simple things in life that amuse us.

I love the mexican wave especially at the MCG when the ground is packed. It is an awesome site.

The drunken people of Bay 11-15 (me included) often throw things into the air but it lands 95% of the time on other drunk people in the close area. No-one else around the ground throws up stuff. If you don't want to be hit then seriously just sit somewhere else.
