I saw that on FB - Great advertisment for Yarraville and their culture - all played out for all to laugh at on a public social media plaform for everyone to see. Classy.

Greenvale vs. Yarraville – tipping an upset when the top of the ladder team is playing a home final sounds strange. But if anyone is going to knock the champs off, it will be Greenvale and their mighty lineup. They won’t be able to fit everyone under the points cap, but look for Jeremy Brown and Matty Inness to make big runs in their biggest game in the VTCA. It’s a bold move to say the champ is done, with Contessa on board and Bakes and O’Keefe still around. But this could be Greenvale’s year.

Old Mentonians vs. Beaumaris – OM’s very good in their 1st year up, but perhaps just a year to early and Beauy will look to atone for last year’s GF defeat. Have they learnt their lesson about the Poms leaving early? Beauy’s depth was clearly non existent last year after the Pom went home, but expect Hewett and Hignett to make up for the loss. For OM’s Seeary will be outstanding as he always is and the English top order will no doubt put up a strong fight. Could go either way, but Beauy just.

Looks tight for the Paxino. I have Thillana 25 points slightly in front of Osborne, Hewitt, Baker...all on about 24...Brown and White behind them...any other views??

Season just around the corner, any previews? Any interest at all?

Top 4 predictions
Senior Div – Yarraville, Strathmore, Bentleigh, Old Mentonians – challengers – Greenvale, Beaumaris, South Caulfield
North – Doutta, PEGS, Spotswood, Altona North – challengers Willy CY, Tullamarine, even West Coburg. Looks a great division
South – Murrumbeena, Port Melbourne, Cheltenham, McKinnon – challengers – any of the clubs up from South A, Hampton, Clayton etc.

You forgot about the side that will probably win - Westmeadows.

Havent heard a hell of a lot out of them apart from Law. Any reason they will jump from missing the 4, to winning it?
Jeffery is also a pretty good pick up i think.
Jeffery and Law will love batting on that ground.

but yeah, looks like a very competitive grade.

Laverton might also go alright now considering they made the change of capt/coach.

Laverton have a new coach, Mal Hartshorne, but he's not a captain/coach.

I was more refering to the fact they gave the other bloke from last season the flick after just one season in charge. who ever is in charge this year will do a better job and get them back on track.

A tie between Yarraville and Bernads in the opening round. Very interesting.

Greenvale easy winners against newbies Strathmore

OMs with young cats forward Mitch Brown too good for Districts

Hoppers apparently smashed by APW

A very weak Beaumaris side dispatched by South Caulfield who looked strong. Interested in them this year.

Bentleigh knocking off Keilor completes the round.

2dayers next week will be interesting, see which batsmen are in good enough form to bat the long periods
