Sheffield Shield Round 1: SA vs Victoria(Tue-Fri)

Two changes to each side from the one dayer - middle order batsman Cosgrove and 12th man all rounder Christian out for SA, replaced by opener Plant and fast bowler Rofe. Vics bring in Jewell and send Quiney back to the middle order to replace Blizzard, and have gone back to Wade as 4 day keeper ahead of Crosthwaite.

Gee the inclusion of Rogers makes a very good Vic batting line even stronger. At full strength would have White in for Quinney also

Half-Centuries to both Jewell & Rogers.

Partnership of 120+ Things look grim for the Redbacks whos batting has been its weakness over the past few summers. Could be looking at 400+ to chase in the first innings with Hodge Hussey and other to come.

Geeze Hodge once again showing the selectors that he is superior to anything the first class arena throws down to him. Could be a very long day for the Redbacks tomorrow with Hussey ready to pounce

Now what a pick up young Rogers is going to be for us. Just brilliant start for his career with the Bushrangers.

Going to be a very long season for South Australia. Vics could get 500 without losing another wicket if Hussey can get going. Rofe the only bowler that bowled well, the rest had little influence.

Also, great posting with the scores so far Robbo, keep up the good work. @|
