The Lounge 2

Hi Craig,
Wishing you a long and loving time with your new puppy dog.

Rolls of paper towels to wipe up and old bath towels to soak up pee n poo Craig ... l sometimes use rubber gloves n cleaners n stuff, as needed. For Pee on carpets I use spray, patting down with a warm wet sponge , then I lay the old bath towels to soak up the fluids and doing a little dance moving the towel as needed.
My Dog's towels have a separate wash.., he's 12 and ageing like me, yet still dances for his dinner, like me too ๐Ÿ•บ, and then sits on command, a concept foreign to my cat who herds me into the kitchen after waking me too early. Her trick is vomiting. ๐Ÿคฎ

We use special wee pads scattered around our outer kitchen/tv room area. Kobe is not permitted into other parts of the house as yet. Mostly he finds the pads, sometimes not that is when the paper towels and anti urine smell spray comes out. So far he has only done three poos inside with only one missing the pad. Not looking forward to the next stage, removing the pads. Toilet training is a hassle but a must. I dont think I have had any more than 5 hr sleeps since he arrived.๐Ÿ˜ฉ

Terry you copping any of the remnants from the cyclone as yet.๐ŸŒช๏ธ
No bad weather here currently in Perth Craig, it's all up north.
Port Hedland was lucky not to get a direct hit. Other remote places got smacked like Marble Bar, the hottest place in Australia, now flooded In fact. Strangly, it's turned out to be a fairly Mild summer here in my quiet city .
Sure a few dry heat waves of 40C+ but just a few days of hot and humid days which I suffer from. I can't handle Sydney's weather where most of my family flit about. Worse my youngest is in Queensland, the land of the sweaty pineapple.
I've been looking at buying a refrierated/heating spilt system and although costlier, I like the Fujitsu models. 5kw to 7kw should suit my bedroom, small lounge, study and dining area? Maybe the 7+kW to cool even more rooms.
I heard it costs ~$700 to install and ~$2k+ to buy the unit.
I'd only use it occasionally, thinking of an uncertain climate future, and for comfort in my dottage.

You good folk in Eastern Australia have taken a heavy weather beating recently: heat waves, fires, floods, droughts, storms, ... Those big insurance payouts have upped the prices of insurance everywhere, rises too trickling down from even the tragic fires in LA. We are all connected by many threads.
Now is the season for changing paradigms.

My puppy continues to astound us. He can now go down the decking steps as he had been reluctant to before yesterday. Plus this morning he passed thru the doggie door both ways. Again these two feats before my current dog Bonnie and our former dogs as pups. Fair to say we may have a super dog on our hands.๐Ÿ•

I had an old Labrador who used to sit by the patio door to go out to do his business in the garden, so when I got a young Labrador to keep him company she actually copied him by sitting by the patio door, so he house trained her ๐Ÿ˜ƒ when he passed away she would look for him by the patio door which was quite sad to see, she stayed house trained though ๐Ÿค—

Guys I have an announcement to make ๐Ÿ˜

My mum has been discharged from hospital as 'medically fit', her hip replacement is a success and will return to being mobile after some sessions of physio! ๐ŸงŽ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿง
My mother had a shocker last week during the heatwave, one of her veins popped open and she had to whisked off to the hospital. She lost a bit of blood, but she seems to be recovering well now.

For those of you who are squeamish please don't look at the pic. https://postimg.cc/PvYKJHq3
