The Unfortunate 11

Good question, although there will never be any conclusive answer. No doubt you will have opened up a Pandora's box and I hope it doesn't spiral out of control.

I'll start with:

Jamie Cox
Michael DiVenuto
Martin Love
Brad Hodge
Jamie Siddons
Mark Cosgrove
Darren Lehmann
David Hussey
Michael Bevan
Tom Moody
Shaun Young
Darren Berry
Ashley Noffke
Dirk Tazelaar
Shaun Tait
David Freedman

Who are the best Australian players to have never had a real impact (Or been given the opportunity to) in the test team?
By this do you mean only players that have played Tests (but perhaps not enough) or includes players who should have played Tests but weren't given the chance?

Also Richie Benaud could give you a massive list of these players from his entire life. Geez he has a memory.

Hi Boris

Would love to hear more on the Benaugh thoughts?

Martin Love was,in my tiny mind the greatest example of that. How would we love to have a player of his calibre now??

And Michael Bevan. Without doubt one of the greatest players to play for our country but couldnt play the short ball. What an absolute load of bull......... I still despair and so does he.

And of course Hodge is probably the standout from that list.

D hussey cannot get a sniff and I would pick him tomorrow but perhaps that reflects the fact that we are at a low point.
