To walk or not to walk?

Re: To walk or not to walk?

i dont think even gilchrist who people claim is a walker would walk in a situation like that. i dont believe that gilchrist is a walker he might have walked because of some misunderstanding. has he ever walked except in the 2003 world cup?

Re: To walk or not to walk?

You weigh up the situation and then act appropriately.

I normally walk but sometimes you just not sure if you've hit or not so let the umpire decide, although my winning smile works in my favour here.

As for the pro's, well, some will, some won't, depends on what is riding on the match.

That said some clowns make a rod for their own back by mouthing off to the press, a'la Ritchie B. way back in the day and he had to walk even though he missed the ball by a mile.

You walk regardless, lets withhold the tradition of the game.

If you stand your ground then you are nothing but a bounder and don't deserve to be on the field.

It is good to be honest so we should walk if we get out. If we are honest then the umpire will also respect us and give the benefit of the doubt.
