Twenty20 World Cup 2007 Groups/Fixtures
This is the schedule for the inaugural Twenty20 World Cup to be held in South Africa this September from the 11th to the 24th.
Twenty20 World Cup Groups
The Group stage will be held in three different cities (Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg) over a total of five days. Each team will play each other once. At the moment, there are no scheduled warm-up matches to take place before the tournament. However, as the tournament gets closer, this may change.
The group stage kicks off on Tuesday 11th September.
Group Matches
From here, the top two sides from each group will progress to the next stage of the tournament. The eight sides will then be split into two groups, E and F.
Second Stage Groups
"C1" represents the winner of Group "C" and "D2" represents the runner-up of Group "D" and so on. In this section, each team will again play each once and this stage will take place over a period of five days.
The top four teams then progress to the semi-final stage of the tournament.
Semi-Finals
The two winners from the semi-finals will then progress to the Grand Final. The Winner of the Grand Final will then be declared the Twenty20 World Cup Champion.
