I think that these two guys have got a harsh but standard punishment for what they did do. They took banned substanses and got caught out.

There is nothing harsh about it, they took illegal substances to improve their performance and now they have to face the consequences.

I heard that Akhtar got 2 years while Asif only got 1.

that is correct, Asif got his lowered.
