USACA marketing deal a hoax

Well, I see Cricinfo's reporting this big multi-million dollar marketing deal
USACA claimed to have made with this Centrex outfit is a hoax. Never
happened. No deal. No money. No nothin'. As if this comes as
a surprise to anyone who knows the ways of the USACA!
And the arch fool of all is Williamson at Cricinfo. The Maryland Mugabe's
duped this guy so often he's got a lock on the Sucker Of The Century award.

Well, I guess the one million dollar championship is out of the picture. :) Maybe the USACA should start buying some lottery tickets.

Wow, it really is tough to be a US cricket fan these days.

Considering we already lost the rights to host the WCL Div 3 tournament, at this point in time, I'm just hoping that the ICC won't kick us out of the Div 3 tournament entirely.
(And I hope the right decisions are made when it comes time to pick the team for the WCL tournament later this year.)

Re: USACA marketing deal a hoax

I think most in the US cricketers are fed up with the current leadership and to be honest, at least here in the Northeast, the clubs that are true to the game and are role models for the US have absolutley nothin to do with the USACA. They are self sufficient and seem to do just fine on their own and more importantly, they welcome americans, or anyone for that matter, to join their clubs with absolutely no politics whatsoever

Here are 2 examples:

Rhode Island.... http://www.stcolumbascricketclub.com/

Massachusetts.... http://www.colonialcavaliers.com/

Well, if the vast majority of US cricket clubs and leagues felt this way, and
were willing to act on it, the Maryland Mugabe and his USACA cronies
would be out in short time. I've said all along: the only way to get
rid of the current administration is if the cricket clubs and leagues in this
country resigned, en masse, from the USACA. Inspirationless Cricket
Council is very reluctant to recognize a competing national organization
but if the USACA no longer represented any clubs they'll have to
seriously reconsider supporting it. So why hasn't this happened? Simple. Eveyone
in this country's dreaming of playing for the national senior or U-19
teams (as well as in this so-called "national championship") and you can't do this without dancing to the USACA's tune.
If the top senior and U-19 players in this country would publically
state "We're not going to play for any national team organized by the
present USACA administration" it would probably bring Dainty and his cronies down. But,
as I said, the ex-pats continue to prostitute themselves in their pipe dreams
of playing in the World Cup.

wait a sec, since when did the WCL Div 3 get pulled from the US? it was suppose to be in LA, right? who's got it now?

Bluto,

the soccer fed isn't run all that bad... at least i didn't think so.

Re: USACA marketing deal a hoax

^i think USSF is in shambles, but that is me. The botched the signing of Jugen as the gaffer. I think they screwed it up and it wasn't Klinsman who walked away. don't even get me started on the set up of the MLS....

It's being played in Darwin, Australia, of all places.
