Premiership Tips?

In senior A the top 4 is set, order may still change. Havent seen St Bernards yet but are undefeated so must go alright, seem to be able to bowl sides out consistently. Hoppers have a very good attack with plenty of variety so they will always be a chance to roll someone cheaply, brighton copped the worst of the conditions against us, toughed it out and batted all day on a deck doing plenty and we (CYMS) have a pretty good but sometimes inconsistent top order who when they fire are very destructive. Also nice ace up our sleeve that the coach will be bowling again before finals and he is as sharp as anyone Ive seen this year in Senior A. I think Hoppers will be real hard to beat if a couple of their bats fire.

In senior Yarraville Club must be hard to beat if Tocka plays, AWSC have heaps of talent (if they make it) and could beat or lose to anyone, Keilor dont look as strong as the last few years but their good players are real good and RPB seem very even and Im told know their game plan inside out and stick to it. All things being equal YC have the best bats and thats what usually wins you the flag on good decks

AWSC have to do a lot just to make the 4 - yet everyone is still thinking they are one of the teams to beat. McKinnon, this year, is a serious threat - good bowling attack, probably equal to that of Keilor. RPB will need all their guns back before even thinking about them as a premiership threat. Keilor's the side no one expected to rise and be where they are at this stage of the season but your fave's in YCCC, if they are missing Broncs, will be hard pressed to bowl out sides for cheap totals, even though their batting is a massive threat. All shapes up to a be a ripping finish in the next 3 weeks. Senior division is still very open, as YCCC are the only ones guaranteed for a final's berth, 5 others vying for 3 spots.

Will be interesting to see how St Bernards go against Brighton and CY's in the next couple of games. Beat Hoppers in a one dayer by 8 runs in round 1 after being in trouble early and good partnership by 2 lower order bats.

YCCC would have to be short priced favorites depending on if toc and bronca play. if they don't play it is a toss of a coin. Sth Caulfield Airport West will be dangerous if they get in.

Noticed Toc and Broncs selected to play the current round v DSCC so they mustn't bee too badly injured.

mackinnon the real smokey, dont count south caulfield out, have a couple of very good players..
APW/ST need to win the next 2, RP/B need to win the next 2, Keilor need to win the next 2 this is going to be one awesome finish to this season.

I tell you now that okeffe will not play for the rest of the year his achillies is shot , as he told an ex footscray teammate that he is gone . bronca has torn his hamstring from the bone and will miss 3 to 4 weeks and will be struggling for the finals. lets see just how right i am

Re: VTCA Cricket - General Chat

word out of YCCC is that there is more problems than the injury to O'keefe and bronca at the moment. apparently there were a few boys that went on a road trip on the weekend and played up big time and have been indefinatly suspended from the club. apparently 3 of them are 1's players, not sure how accurate info is but word around the street it was bronca, christofaro and pope.

if true this could put there finals campaign in abit of trouble!!!

Baker, Smart and Oosterhoof, they'd still be hard to beat. Besides, I don't actually believe what you're saying. O'Keefe would be desperate to play in another finals campaign after being beat by Kielor in the semis last year.

Re: VTCA Cricket - General Chat

I know they take it seriously at YCCC but they are not Australia on central contracts. So why would you suspend blokes for playing up on a road trip.If that was the case for all clubs, most wouldn't be able to put full sides out on a saturday lets face it!!!!
I'm not too sure that a lot of the rumours on here are anywhere close to facts...but make good reading.

They could rest Tok and Broncs and still finish on top with last 2 games v DSCC and HCC that you would pencil in as wins.

Would not write them off just yet!

Heads Pub roof trying to get into Beer Garden on saturday,it took
7 of my Gorillas to escort him out of the place.Remember keep
