Re: VTCA - Season 2006

Talking of Umpires, does anybody who played, or whose father or grandfather played many moons ago, when it was called the VJCA, know what years Jim Stevens umpired the grand finals?

Fair arrogant bloke you are Bakes.. Seems the only type of clothing you wear is tracksuites.. Your living in the past wearing your Essendon tracksuit around.. If you were that good why did you leave? Do you like being a big fish in a small pond. Couldnt hack the fact that there were plenty of blokes down at Essendon that had you covered.. Ie Berger, Fletcher, Hutchinson etc Or maybe you just werent liked down there..
Look forward to seeing what tracksuit you wear to presentation night..
PS Kielor were robbed and you know it! |@
and id like to see you have a crack at Ash.. He'd push you over with one finger. Go and have another bong bakes.

Re: VTCA - Season 2006

Do all new clubs in the west that cross over to the VTCA start off in the North B section? Would think the likes of Grand United & full strengh Lavo side would flog all sides in that comp, however dont think the X Willi comp & Sunshine Comp sides in the VTCA would be keen on the VTCA letting GU in the comp.

No matter where you come from, you always start in the lowest grade so in the North, it would be North B. Grand United would be great for the comp. Hopefully, they could meet Willy CYMS in a GF again & have the time out rule replayed (remember that one Mick).

Due to Grand United Reign in A Turf post 2000, would be a highly entertaining game between them and Yarraville Club. Have to agree that Yarraville Club should win on pure talent and assuming much larger cheque book.

I remember the days in the FCA were Yarraville club were middle of the road, they have come along way in the past decade or so.

Correct me If I am wrong but did Yarraville Club club did win premerships in the Old FCA days in the early 1990's? Were the Premership A turf or did Bucks take all of the A Turf premerships?

They sound a bit like Doutta. Again, like Doutta, it is just rumour & with the VTCA, why put the truth in front of a good story.

gotta a few mates at doutta, nothing wrong with those blokes! seem to be on the recieving end of some pretty poor officiating by the VTCA.

Isnt that Tony Isaacs an old st bernards boy? touched up by the brothers i reckon, bloody catholic wogs, taking it out on innocent prodestants!!

as my mum used to say "catholic wogs smell like dogs"

BUCKS won the the last few A Turf premierships before the FCA folded in 96/97. Will double check the FCA honor boards if Yarraville Club won a A turf flag in early 90's.

Re: VTCA - Season 2006

How does the promotion system work in this comp? Is it just the premiers in each grade below Senior section get promoted a grade up and the wooden spooners relagated?

Yes. Except in Senior A. The winners of both North A & South A get promoted & the 2 lowest placed North & South teams get relegated.

Re: VTCA - Season 2006

Anyone know the tribunal outcome after the Senior Division final.

I suppose suspended sentences and a slap on the wrist to the Keilor boys.

I would suggest the VTCA exec should be found guilty for their umpiring appointment, thats what caused the problem.

Then again, i suppose finding a good umpire is an issue. So its best just to stand an exec member at one end of your number 1 final, even if he has copped terrible captains report all year.:)

Had a look at the honour borads last night, and Yarraville clubs last preimership in the FCA was in 1992/1993 season

You seem to have a lot to say hiding behind your keyboard as you tug yourself. Why don't you do something construtive & come on the VTCA executive & give a hand or has that hand full of something.

By the way, we at the executive have been following your progress GIBROWN. Sounds very familiar to the emails one of our exec used to get, ala John L.

Re: VTCA - Season 2006

Who will be the Dominate sides in 2007/2008 season?

Will Willi CYMS be able to handle promotion to A1 division and be competitive, or will they just make up the numbers.

Has any side in the last couple of years actually won a preimership in the year they have got promoted before?

Seen Royal Park/Brunswick handle promotion well to Senior Division, finishing 5on the ladder.
