While we at it I havent heard much about your achievements or your clubs for that, maybe you are one of those sides that seem to miss out most of the time, or one of those players there to make up the numbers, so before bagging us have a look at yourself first you may be supprisedLMAO At least in all the years we have been in the WSUCCA there was only 1 year we didnt have a side in a grand final, (Knocked out in the semi) so to get 4 premierships and 6 runners up and numerous other awards in the association I think we've done alright. WHAT ABOUT YOU? OR IS IT TOO EMBARRASING TO MENTION?

These are some quality quotes coming out of Meltdown Sth 3 days before you get your little blue butts wopped in a G.F. We all know there are NO big game players up there so be very careful with quotes that may come back to haunt you.
As for 'Suck it up Princess', the tears almost flowed from your love interest Pickets, at the Gray when umpires called game on, l.b.w, too wet to go back on,
run ups a bit dangerous after other team just bowled, rather than getting on trying to win the game, he was pre-occupied trying to stall or whatever. Could have so easily lost if 1 player hadn't swung from the ar*e.

Anyway next year might be your year as i believe you people are joining the Willy comp.
If you have NO Turf wicket as i think is the case, the best grade you can hope for maybe 'A' Matts which would suit you the way you all bat(slog).
Guess what, this grade represents other teams 3 sides as they have their 1st & 2nds on Turf.
Unsure as to any benifit here but maybe a chance to atone for all the disapointment you have encounted in the W.S.U.C.C.A.

Unfortunatly Dogman it is this perseption you people up that freeway have of yourselves that is your own undoing.
Not only the balls 2 foot outside off stump, but the balls pitched on off or middle stump that also get slogged away, notably to mid wicket.
It happens with your opening bats in A grade right down to the lower grades.

God help you if you ever get to play on turf. NO idea,NO control,NO friends, NO brains, NO score over 100

Thanks for the info on the grand finals. As for being embarrassed im pretty sure i would be, as i believe i have an idea who you are and to win a premiership is a great achievement but to win a few and in sucession is the ultimate so i bow to you blokes for that great achievement. Well done.

D:Werribee centrals vs Melton centrals should be a cracker maybe werribee but wouldn't under estimate the old blokes from Melton centrals.

I think Centrals are a chance to take home 4 flags this year. Their A grade have too good a bowling line up. And they have enough batters to get the job done. A great win last week cant believe they got a start.

B grade Josh orr to make a ton, i think it is Marks, to open the bowling and take wickets too.

C grade, dont see why they cant beat Werribee, last time there was only a few runs between them. Centrals have had some fantastic wins especially to knock South out of the finals.

D grade they have smashed them all year.

Although one sided it would be great for one team to take out all flags.

Get down to the games to give some support. only 2 locations and you will get to see some great games.

Its a shame that the umpire who threatened to give one of our players out handled ball doesnt know what the spirit is (the bat had played a defensive shot, there was no run being taken, so a dead ball, so the bat picked the ball up and lobbed it back to the bowler to save him the effort - no appeal was made and the bowler thanked the bat but the umpire deemed it worthy to march in from square leg and threaten to give the batsman out!!! - pathetic).

I have to disagree with you hadenoughofabouse. The non striker had actually come in a long way looking to sneak a singal and was still out of his crease when the batsmen picked the ball up. The people with me, including an association umpire, thought the batsmen could easily have been given out. If the non striker is out of his ground it is certainly not a dead ball.

In regards to Melton South 'b' grade and the rain rules. the split the overs in half after play has started rule is ridiculous as we all know if you bat 72 overs you usually win and although South had scored little they had set themselves up to bat 72 and post a winning score even though they were going at only 2 an over. Although it produced the correct result the revert back to 72 over match rule because of a delay is a very weird rule too.

Why is everybody saying that South beat Burnside from my understanding Burnside were not bowled out and were 6 down off 14? Can anyone explain?

Sorry about the mis-conception there South and Burnside drew, south finished 2nd on the ladder thus advanced to Grand final. I have to agree need to look at the rule its a bit ridiculous. Should just be no 15 overs one day game next day, bowl more than 15 then ordinary conditions must be a forced result or game drawn. Otherwise no value to finish 1 or 2 unless most of the game is washed out. For Burnside it was a bit tough for them they were on top before xmas 10 points clear before losing 3 games out of the last 4 and one of those outright which probably cost them 2nd spot but thats cricket, unpredictable and thats why we love the game.

Before you can win games.... you must learn how to cop a loss!!! Would love to face up to you everyball appealling umpire pushers. You can't bat... 1 bowler.(well once was)and a descrace to the competition with your C grade.... sorry cricket in general.

Played in the game... can't understand the mixed rules even though we ended up with the better result. Yes is is a tie, but due to positioning on the ladder, South take the win.

Or burnside needing only 40 runs with 5 wickets in hand against souths SECOND side...only for Jabba the hut to choke needing 8 runs. Must be a clear problem for that club seeing they couldn't bowl south ones out with 80 runs needed three wickets in hand.. New
coach must be on the cards.. Preferably one without a skins sponsorship????? Regardless of the weekends results neither south side finished on top so cannot possibly be favourites..

I always thought a bit of a sledge and abuse has been apart of cricket forever?? It's like footy if you dont wanna be hit hard dont play the game? same goes for cricket, if you dont like being called a dwarf or fat dont play the game?? or get sucked in?? or just ignore it and make some runs. As for plenty of stick in the NWCA burnside should get away with it because in the grades they should be playing people just play it to pass some time on a saturday. Good luck next season chokers

Haven't posted for a while because been a pretty ordinary year with the standard of cricket beeing average at best and not much to talk about.

As a nuetral observer I did find your comment about Burnside being Chockers very interesting. If I am not mistaken but didn't Burnside (formaly Caroline Springs) smash you guys in 2 Grand Finals in a row (Seasons 2007 & 2008). Luckily they wern't in A Matts last season or it could have been a 3peat. You blokes ended on top of the ladder both years and then were bowled out for about 80 in both Grand Finals chasing over 200 in both Grand Finals. I would call that chocking wouldn't you.

I don't thing you should be taking cheap shots at other clubs when its been common knowledge over the past few years by all the other clubs that Melton South are the pee heart club of the comp by bludging in the second grade level.

I personally think that you guys at South are a good bunch of blokes with a strong confidence about you which is good. I just think its a bit cheap to take cheap shoots at other clubs for loosing. Just remember unless you blokes win it this weekend you are in the same position as the other teams.

Didn't play in those games so I couldn't care less. Didn't even know wsucca existed then. Just ask burnside if we
choked this yr against them? It was them who did the
choking on there soggy sandwiches first time this yr and a bit
too wet second time?? Centrals are the team to beat this yr not south so I'm pretty sure the chokers tag doesn't matter here. The ones and threes have a great shot at it this weekend. Just getting in the cheap shots until this forum

I will not miss playing against mentally challenged children from Melton South who can't spell, who claim they are a "good sports" club. In my eyes "good sports clubs" don't refer to european people as taxi drivers - in fact they wouldnt take personal cheap shots at many players who play cricket to get away from work related stresses from work.

Melton South may have won an A grade flag last season, but they all know that at best they were playing B grade standard sides. Melton South still have not proven themseleves in A grade - losing in two grand finals against Caroline Springs in the previous two years. I find it a bit rich, they can talk the talk, but have they really walked the walk.

Beat Melton Central this weekend and then and only then will your playing ability be respected. As a club you will never have any respect.

I hope Melton Centrals Win. They are a quality club, with quality people who play cricket they way it is supposed to be played - Hard but fair.

appears your credentials must be exemplary, for you to come here and whinge & complain & slag off about everything and anyone.
Comp has only been around for a few years, if you care to contact someone on the EXEC. i am sure they will bring you up to speed on the history.

Yes Souths maybe as you say 'challenged' and playing out of their grade, be it for want or necesaty, but fact remains they are playing a G.F.

Yes Pickets, i know all about finals pressure, and this (words) will become a part of your games tomorrow. Team to deal with these 2 words tomorrow will conquer.

Centrals, stop going through stats for other clubs eligible players , hoping that someone has made an error, and concentrate at task at hand. You got a much needed helping hand last week with weather but this G.F will come down to good old cricket skill ,as weather looks fine.

As for slagging the comp off, or hoping it folds/merges, when decisions do not always go your way, 'GET OVER IT' and ask yourselves where you would have been playing if W.S.U.C.C.A had not have let you come aboard a couple of years ago.

Which centrals team exactly got a much needed helping hand???

A grade - actually played and won their game.
B grade - played St. Johns and had them 2/40 with another in hospital.
C grade - were playing the other centrals team so kind of irrelevant.
D grade - played and won their game as well.

Could you please explain what you meant by that comment as it has me very confused.
