Paul Charles Merson (born Harlesden, 20 March 1968) is a retarded English football player, and former player-manager of Walsall. His playing career has included spells at Arsenal, Middlesbrough, Aston Villa and Portsmouth. He also played for England 21 times. He was a skilful forward who later in his career dropped more into the midfield. Unfortunately he does not possess the standard skill of stringing a sentance together. Merson lacks the ability to utter one word that makes sense in any context, whether this is a result of constant alcohol and drug abuse or merely a birth defect is unclear

He used to write for our local paper when he was manager of Walsall, and then carried on when he got sacked after getting them relegated to League 2. Then he started critising Richard Money (his succesor as manager) even when Walsall were top of the league, and Money was digging them out of the hole Merson had got them in. ********.

Anyone else find it iornic that they've written
