World Cricket League Division 1 in Nairobi
All the tune-ups are done, illnesses are (hopefully) in the past, and the teams are assembling in the relative temperate that is Nairobi for the first World Cricket League Division 1 tournament. This is as big as it gets for the top 6 Associate countries, as they battle for ODI supremacy; as well as two spots in next year's Twenty20 World Cup.
The format is a round robin, followed by a one-off final to decide the winner. The matches will be contested over 10 days at three different grounds in Nairobi, and it will be a veritable beehive of activity as the teams look to show that they are the best. CricketEurope have assembled a team there and will provide comprehensive coverage of the tournament, including a large amount of LIVE coverage. I, for one, am super-excited for this one.
