Re: World Cup Fantasy League

We have to wait for the various countries to name their teams first, then we draft from that list.

Because you're advertising your own World Cup Fantasy League on a different site in their own Fantasy League thread.

You are lucky it is associated with BigFooty.

This thread is for this specific world cup fantasy league game. Talking about some other game just confuses the issue. Feel free to start your own thread though.

Re: World Cup Fantasy League

Looks like 12 out of the 16 teams have named their squads.
We're only waiting on South Africa, Zimbabwe, England, and West Indies.

Re: World Cup Fantasy League

Have you finalized the rules and scoring? When we are drafting players, is it going to be an exclusive draft where if I draft a player, nobody else can? Or will it just be a 'pick your best XI (or XV)' and everyone's teams can overlap?

I'm quite excited to win this thing!

I think we'll stick with 1 point per run and 20 per wicket.

That's right, only one person gets to pick Ricky Ponting.

No further complicated rules beyond that. No one has to worry about averages or anything. This will be purely based on how you think a player will do at the World Cup. You can draft only bowlers if you want, or only batsmen. Or only players from New Zealand. It's entirely up to you.

Oh yeah, plus the rule I mentioned on the last page:
If any player you drafted is injured and officially replaced, then you get the replacement player on your team.
So if you draft Symonds and he gets replaced on the 15-man World Cup roster by Cam White, then you have White on your team.
