    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

My first over, at least the first 3-4 bowls will be mostly faster ones. They will be fast enough for batsman to just push them around and for me to get warmed up. While this has worked out with 60-70% success, most of the times I have failed is when I have bowled with the wind behind me or on...

Video Of My Leg Spinners! Comments & Feedback Would Be Appreciated!

Thanks for the link Dave! Good to know your son is feeling better now. I do the warne approach most of the time though must admit when a leggie instead of spinning ends up being a fast straighter one, I call it the Kumble approach :)

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

    Good start to the season ... Over - Runs - Wickets 1 - 1 - 1 3 - 17 - 1 2 - 8 - 2 Though I had to reduce my speed quite a bit as the wickets are playing slow and low.

    A Legal Action?

Wonder if that could explain why most of the offies with doubtful actions always wear full sleeves... Just saying ;)

    My Bowling Action

Thanks all for the suggestions! Macca rightly pointed out - the space is restrictive & therefore, the angled run up...Not enough space to run in straight :( As far as flight is concerned, I ge about 8-8.5 feet which I believe is good height considering its about 2-2.5 feet about the eye level of...

    My Bowling Action

This is a video of my bowling action taken from front of and behind the stumps. Since this was taken in the evening, couldn't capture the complete flight, pitch and spin. Will capture that in a morning session sometime. As of now, look forward to your feedback/suggestions on what can be...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Wanted to check on the grip in these images - the first two fingers are not on the seam but way beyond that, specially in the last two pics. Any idea if this is a leg break variation?

    Videos and Links

Very useful tips from Ashley Mallet on spin bowling - the key to spin bowling is not where the ball lands but how it arrives. http://www.espncricinfo.com/magazine/content/story/543815.html

    Top Spin and Dip

For whatever reasons, I started with top spin and added leg break as a variation since the turn is the surprise element. But over a period of time, I am using the big leg breaks more often and using flipper +slider with some degree of success and top spinner as the variation. Just couldn't get...
