    Wrist Spin Bowling

Re: Wrist Spin Bowling You probably bowled with more sidespin(=more spin and turn) and less topspin(=less bounce). Possibly the length may be fuller as well due to less topspin causing less drop.

Re: Wrist Spin Bowling A question on line and length for r handed wrist spinners 1) LINE: If bowling to right handers assuming we can get it right most of the time would you try to bowl middle and leg? Does it make a difference what line to bowl round or over the wicket? 2) LENGTH: I know the...

    what bat do you use?

what bat do you use? I have a CA 10,000 plus and a GM duellist both about 2lb8oz. Still find them a bit heavy for cross batted shots. They are as good as new, am in my sides batting mainly for moral support as our format is mainly 20/20. Not even a crack on them

    Wrist Spin Bowling

Re: Wrist Spin Bowling Lucky to have such a beautiful place to practice. Problem is you will need a dog to fetch the balls like clarrie grimmet used to do way back in the 30s. Some things never change in this old game. Unfortunately the place where i practice very erratically has been dug up to...

protective gear How many of you use chest guards and forearm guards while batting. Also does anyone use football type shin guards while fielding(not in silly positions)

fractures Telling me was looking for a word of courage before batting for the first time in my life. Not very encouraging of him. Represented Malta in ICC 2nd division about twice and is a good allrounder and fields in covers/midwicket. Thats why i started this thread to see what other...

What is the most physically demanding sport?

Re: What is the most physically demanding sport? Aerobically and anaerobically i think cross country skiing is the toughest. A stage at the tour de France in the alps or Pyrenees is not for the faint hearted

    Fractures

Re: Fractures I ask because the first time i fielding i was talking to one of the experienced players who is a pathologist(yikes). He is a very good offspin bowler full of guile. Fractures

Fractures I was wondering due to limited playing experience how common are finger fractures while fielding, fielding to your bowling and batting. Would not really like to have one especially with a dislocation with all the ligaments , tendons, vessels and nerves around them

    Wrist Spin Bowling

Re: Wrist Spin Bowling Thanks liz but my missus thinks that the best one on one therapy and general core strengthening is easily achieved by cleaning the floor and the odd plate  The reason i was obsessed with this backspiner is that i had thought the big leg break was the one spun from...

Re: Wrist Spin Bowling Some residual numbness occasionally and not related to any particular activity. Self diagnosed it as am a geratrician.
