1st Test: Pakistan vs West Indies at Lahore

This match-up shapes as an interesting one, West Indies have been in good form of late in the one-day form of the game with impressive wins but eventually went down to Australia in the Champions Trophy Grand Final. Pakistan have been rocked by a drugs scandal and were dogged by poor form in the Champions Trophy.

Can West Indies transfer their one-day form to the test arena or will Pakistan regroup and pull off a win?

Whatever the result, it should be a close one. Get set for a hard fought game.

Darryl Hair = Hitler of Cricket




Since Darryl Hair, the "Cheat Umpire" is no longer employed by the ICC for umpiring, the world cricket can breathe a sigh of relief that there will be no injustice committed against anybody in the cricket field.


Darryl Hair is a shame to himself and entire Australia. Australia has enough enemies already and entire Asia hates them. Now the aussies are hated in our Golden Pakistan also, which was not the case in the past. We never hated the aussies but now we all do because of "Cheat Umpire" Darryl Hair.


Our legendary Imran Khan described Darryl Hair as, Hitler of Cricket, which is true.

I would say the West Indies should be favorites, based on their ODI form this year.

Unfortunately, of course, this isn't an ODI, and the West Indies test team has had a bit of a tougher time getting their act together lately. Hopefully they'll start playing up to their potential here.

Bad shot from Ganga, he didn't need to do that.
Gayle had hit three straight boundaries to start the over, and then hit a single, and for some odd reason, Ganga felt he needed to take a swing too.
A foolish waste.

9.2 Shahid Nazir to Gayle, OUT, Nazir picks up Gayle, good stuff from Pakistan bowlers, pitches on the leg stump and Gayle caught on the back foot gets hit on the pad, loud appeal, given by Umpire Ashoka de Silva.

Replays showed that Gayle was robbed. That ball hit him so high he needed to wear shoulder pads. Okay, maybe not that high, but it was well over the stumps.

Terrible call.

Now that was a great delivery from Shahid Nazir!

Sarwan tried his best to block it, but wound up hitting it straight back to Younis.

Shahid Nazir to Sarwan, OUT, excellent delivery short of a length, pitches on the stumps and moves away, squares up Sarwan, gets the edge through to Younis Khan at second slip, who takes the catch at a comfortable height.

Now Nazir gets Chanderpaul lbw. He didn't deserve to get Gayle, but even still, his bowling really has been fantastic so far today.

Lara and Bravo have looked fairly comfortable and professional out there. There've been one or two hairy moments, but nothing too troubling. As of right now, I'm just hoping these two can last until the lunch break.
