Been away. who are the recruits to come into Dunstan and A?
Opinions about fixture are on the ball. It is about lack of reserve days due to U/21s hence starting with 2 two dayers which likely will not mean we loose a round. The flaw in the argument is often it is the second Saturday that is washed out provided grounds are ready for day one.

Check out the latter pages of 2012/13 thread for player movements.

Interesting theory regarding U21 team. How many players have a burning desire to play for ECA by that age? Getting on the piss / pills Saturday night would be a higher priority.

So nothing has changed in the u21s. Was much the same 5 or so years ago. Waste of one

Hard to predict at this early stage, not knowing all the player movements, retirements etc.. but will give it a shot.
Predictions on ladder:
Ashy (premiers) - picked up a few players after losing Cox.
StKevs - always there abouts, good honest side
Deepdene - pierra is a good pickup, Parsons always good
Mulgrave - if Shaw is back playing otherwise MA.
Mont Albert - last years premiers not getting much air time.... few retirements might be costly.
Glen Iris - Grubich still playing? depends who they pick up but will be decent - not finals
Hawthorn - Tongue always performs, not enough support.
Bulleen - depends on players, if Judd, Tuckett, Davidson, Porter play they will be strong.
Heathmont - good side in ATurf, strong batting, so will get them some wins
Marcellin - rely on Dinneen but good crop of youngsters
Surrey Hills - losing Pierra is a big loss. not enough depth.

Think the 3/4 spot will be out of 6 teams! will be a close year I think, Ashy will be the standouts.

Glen Iris have a new coach but have not heard if Grubich has been retained. If previous posts are correct they have already lost Stafford, Taylor (their Dunstan Medal winning pom with apparently no replacement), Purcell and Jamieson. Heard a whisper Carey also gone. Could be an interesting season for them
