Re: Who will win the AFL flag?

Solomon coping 8 weeks for his 'stray' elbow. Harsh but fair, intent was there and he caused some serious damage.

WC to beat Richmond tomorrow.

I can't believe I was foolish enough to tip them  thought they would be a chance with no Richo.

I think it was 5 with an extra 3 for a bad record? Still seems stupid that Hall gets of lightly in comparison for his 'good' record.

I tipped them too, what a mistake that was.

Correct.

Hall is a dog, nothing more, nothing less.

He got 10 weeks originally but lost three due to a "good record". There should be no such discount for such a pathetic act.

Re: Who will win the AFL flag?

Solomon got a very tough but fair sentence. Hall on the other side...

Does anyone think Staker expected to get whacked in the jaw after pulling on the boots to play a game of aussie rules football? And after laying a tackle, a staple of A.rules, get a smack in the face? When he wasn't even looking?

Solly is an idiot. But Barry 'good record' Hall is scum IMO. @|

Re: Who will win the AFL flag?

Is it Hally's fault that the MRP rules are incorrect? I think he should've got 10 but it's not his fault the tribunal guidelines are faulty.

Nope. It is Hally's fault that he allowed himself to get reported again and let your team down.
Same with Amon Buchannon. He shouldn't of done what he did.

Solomon really should be given the flick from the AFL. He's too much of a pest. Meaning that he gets himself into trouble and then gets reported and then gets suspended. Costs his team a star player that obviously doesn't want to play footy.

But it isn't the player's fault what the sentence is that is dished out to them, it's the Tribunal's faulty rules.

Hall should've got 10 (penalty was too low)
Solomon should've got 8-9 (about right)
Buchanan should've got 1-2 (penalty was too high)

But under the MRP's system you have to go through these points, whereas a smart enough person could judge it on it's merits and give each the sanctions they deserve.

We have at least about 10 players that are need to be pissed off. We can't really do that in 1 season, Solomon is probably the best of a bad bunch. The cull will happen over 2 years.

They need to seriously get rid of Solomon now. He looks like that he doesn't want to play footy.

You guys have too many old farts in your team.

Southy,

It's the player's fault for doing the wrong thing in the first place.

If the players had their heads screwed on properly and concentrated on playing footy instead of getting themselves reported and then suspended we would have an awesome competition.

The MRP does all the dirty stuff for the tribunal. However, in most cases the tribunal isn't needed because it is very rare to see a report getting challenged.
Usually the players take the set penalty.
It's better to talk it through with a group of people instead of having one person do all the hard work. What happens if it involves the person's favourite team and favourite player???? You and I would think that the person would be biased. To you and I that would be unfair and unjust for that to happen.

Re: Who will win the AFL flag?

5/8 for me. The Hawks choking and Adelaide losing the Showdown were surprises for mine. Good to see Freo finally get another win after an embarrassing 1st quarter. Carlton look to have blown their finals chance after the loss to Sydney.

And a great win too. Top effort :thumbsu:

Pies lost, Brisbane lost, Hawks lost, Saints lost. All the results fell our way and we f***ed ourselves, so disappointed.

Listened to the last quarter on the radio at work. Was tense early but the young ones came through in the end, it was a fantastic win. We look to have a bright future.

Re: Who will win the AFL flag?

Great win it was.

Saints looked a little razzled.

If Nick Riewoldt kicked straight early we might've been under a little more pressure.

He missed kicking 1.4 and WC responded.

Q lnch was superb in the middle whilst Bernt Staker-Judd :) was the catalyst for our revival in the 2nd qtr, the qtr we usually get bitchslapped in.

Great effort was very happy.

Re: Who will win the AFL flag?

Top win by the Dirty Birds @| The Big Unit up the ground was funny but worked well. Should be a good Derby next week, especially if we can beat Port today.

Re: Who will win the AFL flag?

Pav out and Freo strated the game really well.

2nd qtr fade out however has made it a close-ish game again. 54-41

Re: Who will win the AFL flag?

No Pavlich, no worries :)

Let's all get to the Derby fellas, should be a good one @|
