North A And B

Taylor Lakes get rid of your curator and Brodie both oxygen thief's. Seddon well done, the Sri Lankan boys showed their class on a good deck they certainly were the difference. To our boys were fought it out but of to a shocking start all ways hard. Need a bat or two for the big dance.

Sunshine should win the GF by a mile. Tipping bat first and make 300+. Best batting side for the year usually wins the VTCA 4 day finals.
Sunshine have 2 quality bats but fall away big time after that, if the 2 fire will win. If they don't then Seddon are a huge chance as they bat ok also. Very even competition this year, no stand out teams other than Abers on paper but they didn't fire a shot all year! Personally couldn't give a stuff either way who wins but good luck to both teams for what that's worth.
Any news on movement for next season?
Magafas/Taylor gone from Abers
St Albans will surely go back to spending some $$$'s

Little whisper that St Albans are in talks with a quality cricketer who went BANG in a GF last year. Watch this space.

How do you reckon the promoted or relegated clubs coming into Nth A & West A would go this season.
Any new Pro player signings/big name departures in these grades?
Which clubs are predicted to be the front runners.

which grade?
What are ur predictions?
to better understand all the ins & outs for the season, need to see how each club lines up for rnd1.
after rnd1 we should ve a better understanding of who is what.

Alright folks, take it easy on me. Always fraught with danger making such predictions, even more so when all the ins & outs are up in the air before the first game of the season. Considering all those excuses here is where I reckon they’ll finish. Will revise these during the season.
NTH A1 (Guesstimates)
(1-4) Haig Fawkner – finals contender, stiff last year not to make it with 7 wins. Should make the 4 this season.
(2-5) Taylors Lakes – Had a great season, they would be very disappointed if they don’t make the 4 again.
(2-5) Aberfeldie – lost couple of old heads, don’t wanna be losing their OS player Perrera. Godsell is captain I hear. If he plays all games it’ll be a big plus. Should make the 4.
(3-7) Craigieburn – 5th last year. Finals contender. Don’t be surprised if they make it.
(3-7) St Albans – Good ol St Albans. Hazard to say finals contender. looked Nth B bound at few stages last season. If they spend their coin well then should feature in the 4.
(4-7) Glenroy – Nth B premiers. Runs will be a problem. Too few stand up with bat. Bowlers will do OK. Middle of the road finish.
(5-8) Merlynston Hadfield - Nth B finalists. Mid table in Nth A. Should be competitive.
(8-10) St Francis de Sales – Sorry lads. Will be in the relegation battle with couple of others. But I think u lot might just keep ur heads above water.
(8-10) St Andrews Pascoe Vale – had a good season in Nth B but will do well to stay up in Nth A. lacking depth in bowling. Batters steady, did a good job last season but ? to stay up.
(8-10) Avondale Heights – Sorry fellas. 1X1 Player exodus, including their two best. Nth B runners-up lost their best strike bowler to Westmeadows & may be their best bat who made 1000 runs. Not many teams can recover from that. If they had the same side as last season then would be very competitive but will struggle to stay up if they can’t replace the two big outs.

again, apologies to those who I guessed would struggle but it's all a ? at this time of year. no one knows, it's all in ur own hands. Good Luck!

hadfield would have surprised most. With less than a point separating the top 3 and with another 3-4 teams a chance of getting in it really looks like whovever plays well on the day might get the chocolates at the end of the year

Pretty quiet on here just thought I'd share my thoughts on the teams in north division from what I have seen or know and like to hear others thoughts.
Keilor - impressive lineup strong core of locals, schuppan gets wickets for fun. Quality youngsters and obviously quality imports to round off team be surprised if they don't win comp.
Doutta - star studded top 5 to 6 handy younger players capable of beating anyone on their day will be there abouts.
Keilor park- no super stars but good depth in batting and bowling very solid team from 1 to 11
Laverton - bit hot and cold two good opening bowlers who swing ball and bowl good areas and experience and depth in batting.
West coburg - quality bowler in appleyard and good top order with the bat with good spinners underdogs to surprise in March
Pegs- bit disappointing thought be higher up the ladder with team on paper not sure what hasn't clicked seem to manage big scores lacking a bit with the ball?
Seddon/Druids - have both struggled coming up a grade seem to both lack depth with the bat get thru top 3 or 4 and fall away dramatically
Westy- would have to be disapointed quality team on paper big recruiting and money spent thought would be challenging for flag a little old perhaps?
Royal park- good bunch of players to play against just not quite their year maybe one or two recruits and back up there
Spotty- quality team on paper with bat and ball very surprised by ladder position haven't seen them play so any thoughts why hasn't all clicked?
Altona nth- Saunders fantastic season tip for medal lack of support with bat and lack of options with the ball
