Only Jack Young from Barclay. I think it was a 2 gamer. Tom Burton and Steve Harrison from RECCC as well. 1 game each.

Re the suspensions. Burton and Harrison were given one game suspensions, but it doesn't stipulate what grade that suspension should be served in which perhaps is an error on the associations side. With round 1 over 2 weeks in the shields and with round 2 starting this Saturday in lower grades, I see no reason why those players couldn't play round 2 this Saturday in C,D or below this week. However I believe the association is saying that they can't play round 2 in lower grades, even though suspension only stipulates one round. Thoughts anyone?

Agree Brutal. They should be available this week

If you wanna get technical they play but really what are they going get out of playing against 14yo kids or blokes that wouldn't know one end of the cricket bat to the other! Just serve the suspension and play next game. Anyone know why Henkel didn't bowl last week?

It's poor administration.
Suspensions should always be fixed by reference to dates, not matches.
As the DVCA and other associations have repeatedly been advised by the VMCU for years (actually, decades).
It avoids this problem/confusion (especially at finals time) and, in longer suspensions, the same issue when suspended players swap comps in the course of a suspension.

They did the wrong thing, and got suspended. Cop your whack and stop trying to find a loophole to allow them to be bullies in a lower grade.

It DOES refer to dates, implicitly, its when round 1 finishes in barclay shield. Common sense really.

I knew you couldn't help yourself. Seriously you need to give up on your agenda with me and start behaving in the manner of someone who has the responsibility of running this forum impartially. If you can't do that then hand it over to someone who can and jump on the ECA forum.

I know you like to think that everything revolves around you and research, but in this case It's got nothing to do with you and I t effects more than just your club.

Maybe you should go to the Money Shield thread?

they are barclay shield players hence suspension applies to those fixtures, pretty simple.
How can someone be deemed as a permanently selected player in any grade? They most recently played in that grade if that is what you were trying to articulate, seems to me the only thing that's pretty simple about it is you champ

You commit a crime in one country and you flee to another country, does that mean you are exonerated? No you go back and finish your sentence there. Doesnt matter if the other country has different laws. Where he plays next round is none of my business. Just common sense really..
