Player Movements & Rumours 2016/17

Time to strike and approach Roseban
Meeting at end of June for the clubs to approve amendments to the constitution, allowing ANY club to apply to join if they choose. Municipality will no longer be a binding factor.
Looks like they are preparing for the inevitable influx of clubs that could come through to the DVCA over the next 2-3 years. Looks as if the "Northern Cricket League" might happen after all.

Eastern will look at trying to snatch up some of the better clubs on that side of town.
DVCA will be left with the Keon Parks and Lalors to absorb

If this were the case and Eastern were looking to do that, what on earth would possess the better clubs to choose Eastern over the Diamond Valley? Geographically it would be a disaster....
The Eastern top synthetic comp consists of the following clubs-

Deepdene Uniting - Kew
South Camberwell
Clifton Hill
Trinity Willison - Camberwell
Glen Waverley
Booroondara
Toorak/Prahan
Burwood

2 piece balls. Blokes get to think they are better than what they are. Also if you look from say Bell street towards the city,
Most of those clubs are right near the eastern freeway entrance. Probably easier to travel on a freeway compared to the main roads of the north

So like three clubs? Don't think the DVCA would lose too much sleep over that.

Thank god I stopped playing when I did. This is local cricket. Let’s keep to playing against local teams. Will turn into a subbies type arrangement if we aren’t careful.

Toddy is not a big fan of more clubs coming in from the wrong side of Plenty Road.

Can anyone recall a club applying for entry to the DVCA and getting knocked back?

does anyone know whats actually happening with the CV restructure?? I have been hearing about it for years and nothings happened....I feel communication is really poor. What is the exact plan?
