Plunket Shield - live streaming :

{all 3 matches from 3rd to 6th April}
Jaffas v Wgtn
Central v Canterbury
Otago v Northern Districts
Brilliant mate. I will watch the replays. CA has exclusive rights to our Shield matches so are not even replayed on UT. I think I have already told you that you have to sign up to the Aust Cricket Family to watch. We are in our last round. Blues playing Bulls for a spot in the final. Selectors finally with some fresh blood. Other matches WA v Tassie, Vics v SAussies.

:thumbsu:
Australian Cricket Family is a top site Craig, as you know I've already signed up there - I'll have a look at at the Blues v Bulls, hope the Blues knock them over mate to make the final... we are also playing the last round of our Plunket Shield.

Watching the live stream of Blues & the sheilas match at the Mount... 381 one was a good score by the Blues mate.

Had forgotten you had already signed up mate. Been watching any of the previous four rounds.
Yep the Blues kids are putting up a good show. All five are 21 or under. Either a feast or a famine with our selectors.

This your last round too Pete. You waited all that time for one round of matches. I see your blokes are playing your bestest mates. I will pop in and out to keep up with the Firebirds progress. Your boys can use some wickets mate. Younghusband your leggie.. is that name for real?

Amelia Kerr gets Healy.. is she going to cause a collapse. Rate her bowling.
The great Ellyse Perry and big hitting Ash Gardner steadying the ship after three quick wickets by the Ferns.

Stars do it Pete. That is quite an achievement. Ponting sides were almost unbeatable in the 2000s. I'd never have rated this Stars outfit in their league.

Congrats Craig - top effort by your sheilas to beat your men's ODI record of the 2000's... well deserved world record to the Stars 🥳

Yeah, you sent me the link ACF a while back mate, then I signed up - have seen parts of the other rounds too which I have really enjoyed.
Disappointing this is our last round of Plunket Shield cricket... you'd think bloody NZC would've scheduled another couple of rounds to give us
better red ball preparation leading up to the England tour.

True mate, Younghusband is a pretty weird name... maybe he got married when he was 16 😉 😄

My view as well Pete. I suppose tho they will provide BCs with plenty of white ball prep tho. Our selectors.. blessed with brains.

..and the majority was done by a group of kids. That is the most gratifying thing.. that my state has good players for the future. Only prob with that theory is that if they are too good we will lose them to the Test side as has been the case for decades.

It sure is Pete. Some good ticket deals and other handy stuff. But what about their live stream.. practically television quality. A huge cry from the early days when the picture quality was poor and it was a simple one camera stream. I complained and I am sure thousands of other ACF members did too. They listened.

Always brilliant when the young fellas stand up & do the job Craig... by getting the chance to come in & replace test players & play for their state earlier than expected can only be a good thing for building depth.

ACF has really good deals etc - absolutely mate their streaming is excellent... unfortunately we still have the old bloody caveman streaming using only one camera , so can't see where the ball is hit through gaps & don't hear commentators, I suppose the one thing you can do is analyse the technique of the bowlers & batsmen.

That is odd Pete. I made a post yesterday asking you what match you were watching. Two of the three Aussie matches are good.. the other a bloody bat fest on a road. Liking the Blues chances of making the final now even if we only draw here. How are the Firebirds traveling mate.. not had time to watch. By biggest winge about the single camera stream (Premier Cricket) is the non striker has a habit of masking the striker when camera is at a commonly used angle.

Meant your cricket streams are excellent - whereas our Plunket Shield streams are very limited making it a frustrating watch, yeah, very annoying when the non striker blocks the sight of the striker... so does a draw get the Blues through to the final ?

Wgtn have no chance of making the final, we're at the bottom of the ladder... disappointing as we won the comp a year or two ago.

I know that is what you mean mate. Yes almost certain a draw gets us thru now that WA look like losing their last match or at best drawing. I will catch up with the P/S tomorrow mate. Bummer about the Firebirds not making the final. Perhaps we both can push them to a better season next year. Be good to catch one of their games live too.

Sounds like your blokes are going to be in the final mate 🥳
I forgot Craig that over the last couple years they changed our format, so the team that finishes with the most points at the end of the rounds win the comp... was much better when we use to have a final, like you blokes do too... Canterbury finished top of the table so won the title today.
When you pop over the ditch mate we will definitely go along to the Basin & watch some matches there :thumbsu:

Thanks for that buddy. Yep Blues made the final but not home advantage. Game is Allan Border Oval, Brisbane on the 14th. Will be telecast and live streamed.

I will have a crack at a Firebird match shortly. May take a look at the P/C winners too. Wow they had a brilliant season. Your blokes will be looking for a big improvement next season Pete. Where are they lacking.. batting or bowling. Some new blood like my Blues may be the answer mate.

"Henry Hunt's emergence as a top order batsman of substance with 628 runs @44.85 with two centuries has been some consolation for a poor season by the SA Redbacks after he moved from country New South Wales to Adelaide in search of greater opportunities". (Cricinfo)

Pete this p***** me off big time and surely every Blues supporter too. Hunt need never have been forced out of my state as he was performing in Futures League (2ndX1) and should have been given a Blues rookie contract at the very least. He is only one of many that due to non selection for the their state senior side seek a contract interstate while less performed cricketers get the Blues contracts. On top of Hunt there is another batsman Tim Ward plus a pair of quicks, Lawrence Neil-Smith and Ian Carlisle now playing for Tasmania. I regard all four as solid Test prospects. The Blues selection panel need shooting.
