worst wicket keeper in history

Red Card
despite being an atrocious keeper who drops catch after catch , somehow amy jones continues to play international cricket.
And the commentators are compllicit by claimng she is a great keeper in spite of the evidence in front of them.
What the hell is going on?
They even gave her a game as captain the other day which she was hopeless at too, and of course she captained england to a loss
i cant think of anything to explain the amy jones phenomona. Do england want to lose for some reason? gambling perhaps.
Newsflash womens cricket isnt so bad that jones is the best in the land.
A blind ************ who can catch a ball with a bell inside would make a better keeper than amy jones

That's harsh. I think she was pretty much forced into the captaincy role and from what I've seen almost everyone to a man has said it's not a natural role for her and they're not surprised that she made a hash of it, she's virtually got no experience in the role. Give that's the situation, I reckon that then follows that if she's got her mind on the fact that she's the captain and she feels that she crap at it and can see that being played out of the field in front her, that would affect her glove work.

my assessment is from all the games ive seen, not just the last 3. I dont care if shes a bad captain, she shouldnt be on the field in the first place because she cant keep

How could a Pom forget him he played in the famous 2005 Ashes series. I think the position was between him and Chris Read at the time.
Yeah I saw some footage of him recently and that refreshed my memory, I've got no recollection of him being amazing in any way. I was just focused on Warne most of the time!

SomeblokecalledDave. SomeblokecalledDave. Kram81 Kram81 Richie has returned. I missed you blokes so much I had to.

One of Australia's best ever keepers was about our worst when he first pulled on the gloves. I speak of course of Rod "iron gloves" Marsh. Had he remained so, that famous cricket phrase "caught Marsh bowled Lillee" would have been lost to cricket folklore.

Guys what have been the most active threads since I left.
I expect you someblokecalleddave someblokecalleddave have been gloating over the Aussies abysmal showing in India. We will prove to you in July/August that we are still worthy competition for your blokes on your home soil.

Wasn't even Ian Healy pretty ordinary when he first started, that was just before my time.
He was called up after only 8 first class games and struggled on his first two series in 1988, both losses, one to Pakistan, other the Windies, both away. He said at the time "I was overwhelmed". It only took him a further year to settle into Test cricket on the victorious 1989 Ashes tour. With success Healy improved as a glove man. Technically he was one of Australia's best of the modern era.
