    Satisfy a batting hungry team?

Satisfy a batting hungry team? Hi I am the captain of the team. How do I satisfy my team when all the 11 players can bat in a 20-20 tournament? Some of them can bowl but everybody wants to bat in the middle order

How to score off yorkers ?

Re: How to score off yorkers ? What I do when I know the bowler is consistently bowling yorkers is to either take my stance a feet or two outside the crease or just go take your stance a feet inside the crease. Usually messes up a bowlers length. Or you could even walk out like how Robin...

    Batting Methods

Re: Batting Methods ok I developed my routine. I hold my bat like an axe in line with the crease and then ready to face the bowler. Simple and doesn't take too much time :)

    Playing across

Re: Playing across There are strategies to mess up a bowlers line.. take your stance out of the crease a meter outside/inside the crease.. dance down the track and sometimes act as you are coming down the track.. step down the track like Robin Uthappa does.. take an off stump guard alternate...

    Losing temper

Losing temper I am an opener. I play 40 over cricket. I am usually pretty good to start with but as the run flow stops for a little while I just premeditate and try to play shots of good deliveries as well and usually mistime my shots and edge it in the air for a catch. How do I stop this.

    What's the rules regarding this.....

Re: What's the rules regarding this..... A batter can be given out hitting the ball twice if the second strike is deliberate. There are two exceptions that allow a batsman to hit the ball on a second occasion: protecting their wicket (ie: stopping the ball from rolling back on to the...

    Starting in cricket...confidence....

Re: Starting in cricket...confidence.... How about playing with your bat as much as possible. Think that you are out if it hits your pads. Wouldn't work for longer formats of the game though. But you can sure try.

god help me!!! i cannot play off my pads!!

Re: god help me!!! i cannot play off my pads!! My suggestion would be take leg stump guard and try to play in the V if the ball bowled is full showing full face of the blade. You eradicate lbw's that way. On bouncy wickets if you have the pulls and backfoot drives and cuts you should be fine...

    Whose call?

Re: Whose call? When the ball goes behind the wicket the non-striker should decide and prompt for 2 for his partner since he cannot view the ball similarly if the ball goes in front of the wicket the striker should call for the 2 loudly so that your partner runs the first harder and tries to...

    Controlling new ball swing

Re: Controlling new ball swing I mean I have been playing with him for over 2 years now. And I set the field accordingly for him. He is a wrist bowler, gets the swing with his wrist. He bowled the first few games really well but the last 2 games he has been straying all over the leg side.

    Controlling new ball swing

Controlling new ball swing I am the captain of the team and my new ball bowler is straying down the leg side with the new ball. What is the best piece of advice for him? He is a natural inwing bowler and he bowled a lot of leg side wides in the previous game. He is a wicket taking bowler if he...
