I think we will play, looks like Friday will be fine then the rain will come in Saturday evening and keeps going through to Wednesday, so the T20 might cop it again.
A few of us were talking tonight and this idea came up. Last year we started Nov 13th and played all 1 dayers, as suggested by one of us; just scrap the next 2 weeks, get the racing out of your system and kick off fresh on Nov 12th for a 1 day season. That way you're also giving the grounds some...
If you start cutting back other sports will jump on the opportunity and those lost times will never come back. I remember when Saturday morning juniors was abandoned, there were other sports just waiting to fill the void. Ok, so two clubs have gone, is this because of declining player numbers...
I don't think we should knee jerk and just outright take cricket away from October. Playing less cricket isn't the answer, it won't always be this wet.
Will be lucky to get games in next week as well. 70mm forecast to drop between Wednesday and Friday. Grounds need a good week to dry out but don't look like getting it this month.

You know it took 5 meetings and a 200 reply long email chain to come to the decision to have white pants and coloured shirts too. I mean I just assume they wasted all their time talking about that in the off season since no one can be stuffed updating the website for the last 2 years. Hopeless.....
The club has been around for a long time, I bet my great uncle Evan was playing against them in the 40's when he was playing for Doreen. Yet now they can't find blokes? Where did all the plays go from last year, or the last 5 years? While no you can't make people play cricket, but you gotta ask...
