Re: Tim Paine
So we've got Haddin, Paine, Hartley, Manou, Ronchi.
While Haddin is stll scoring Test runs- he's a lock in- but once his form goes, his keeping is not good enough to keep him in the side, and Paine could slot in, providing he keeps his current form.
Its a shame that Ronchi seems...
Well this might save Hussey's career!
The West Indies are set to play a three-Test series against Australia this summer, featuring matches in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, plus a five-match one-day series.

Re: Vote Here - Alltime Australian Test XI Draft
Licking the blood off them as Lee bends down to check if they are ok- didn't you mean, Eddie! ;)
At his peak Lee was an imposing bowler, plus the fact he's managed to take 300 test wickets, and he's a decent bat, means he...
Re: The Next Powerhouse?
Sri Lanka once they lose Murali, will slip back down the table, as has Australia post Warne. I would put them ahead of New Zealand, as they have a bigger cricketing base to select from, but they wouldn't be in the top three. ;)
Re: Vote Here - Alltime Australian Test XI Draft
I think I was also biased towards your side, as about 4 of your picks were ones I wanted and every time you picked one before me, I swore! :)
Ants was the other one which I was leaning towards as well- Warne & Lillee- nuff said! ;)

Re: pick your 2013 Australian test squad
1. Hughes
2. Jaques/Marsh
3. Clarke
4. Ferguson
5. North
6. Watson
7. Paine
8. Johnson
9. Siddle
10. Hilfenhaus
11. Krezja/Hauritz
If Jaques can get fit again, he can take over the senior opening spot which the Kat currently fills. Both he and North...
Re: Cricket Drafts
For the entire World Drafts there's obviously enough excellent players to go around to increase it somewhat- but yeah you wouldn't want to drag it on for too long a time period. Maybe teams of two posters would be good if there's enough interest. :)
Re: Vote Here - Alltime Australian Test XI Draft
Well obviously I would've picked my own team as the best ;), seeing I have a good mix of express bowlers, a leftie who hits the seam & swings the ball, a legendary leggie, the wicket keeper of the century, and a great mix of left & right handed...
Re: Allrounder Comparison
I voted B as I thought it was a trick question- and knowing Caesar- I was right :p
I want to know where's Shane Watson as an option? :D
Re: How we lost the Ashes & How to fix it.
Back on topic- We didn't lose the Ashes because of our bowling. Everyone did their job, and one more wicket in Cardiff and its a totally different scenario. ;)
We lost this Ashes because of our batting. England were in a stronger position in three...
Re: How we lost the Ashes & How to fix it.
This is getting totally off topic- but please...........
You're in the West Indies- if you can't find anything to so as a single lad- there's something wrong with YOU- not the fact that wives and girlfriends can come along! :shakes head:
Re: thommo"s spray
Ponting's captaincy had little to do with the Headingley win- the bowler's did their job in the first innings, and the start of the second innings.
The last morning showed how little captaincy nous Ponting has. When Broad & co. were going tonky tonk, his consistant...
