Bangladesh won the toss and sent the Sri Lankans into bat.

The Lankans had a subdued start but just as Jayasuriya started to hit out he fell to Syed Rasel who clean bowled him with some useful movement off the pitch.

1/33 in the 8th over. Tharanga is not on 9 with Sangakkara the new batsman.

Easy win to the Sri Lankans, Bangladesh started well but Dilhara Fernando tore through their top order and they never recoevered from there. Bandara took a couple of wickets but was expensive with the rest of the wickets being shared around.

Silva and Tharanga made useful controubtions with the bat for the Sri Lankans.

Sri Lanka leads the three match series 1-0.

Bangladesh are utter crap. They have been so shameful in all these meaningless test matches (against Sri Lanka as well as India before that) and now even ODIs. There is nothing wrong in losing. But there is something very wrong in losing match after match making stupid batting mistakes, not showing any fight and just keep folding. Nothing shows they are actually learning anything, and those 2 wins against India and South Africa in World Cup seemed to have gotten to their heads. Since then they've been nothing but a cure for insomnia.

It is disappointing but they are well worth persevering with having such a large population that are cricket mad. They'll be good one day but it is going to take time . .
