Qualifying matches starts yesterday in india.Group A has 4 team vs Group B = 4 team.one winner in each group will go into Super 10.

yesterday Zimbabwe beat Hongkong by 14 runs, sibanda hits 50 for Zimbabwe, his 1st, 50 for some 26 innings in t20i format.Zim.'s Fielding was very bad otherwise HK not manages respective score.

Next game played at same venue at 7.30 IST. Afghanistan vs Scotland.so far AFG / Sco. played 5 matches and AFG winning 5/0.AFG. opener Mohd Shahjad smashed 61 off 38 balls with 4 sixes, he hits 10th 50 in t20i,I do not think any minor team member hits even 6, scores of 50 in their career.Asghar also among runs with 55 n.o.

Scotland chasing 171 and lost by 14 runs despite 84 by opener's partnership, in little over 8.4 over.AFG's spin bowling so good and they bowls good last 2 over.

Today Bangladesh vs Netherland at 3 pm. [ist][15.00 local ].and Ireland vs oman game at 7.30 pm.well I know not many country pay attention of other than super 10 Group but without minor WC T20 in-complete.I,wasim 303, seen many support for Zimbabwean and Afghanistan in india.

I wish good luck to all team BD-zim-Afg -oman-netherland-Scotland - Ireland - hongkong
sorry UAE not Qualify for 2016.They were lucky to beat Afg in Qualifyer of asia cup but in asia cup itself they lost all 4 games.

I belives bigcricket forum is from Australia and many cricket lovers wondering why Bangladesh not in super 10 despite their good performances in asia cup final plus they are test playing nation besides Zimbabwe.

BD only playing in their country most of time.Boycott wants them to play at Lords and beat them plus if you plays one series only in one year, no way you get selects in ICC rankings, so they lost their chance in super 10, same of zim.their ratings in ICC listing.

india and Bangladesh has good relation politically yet limited over series never plays in india, I never heard BD, visits Australia or nz or eng.I may wrong.

^Thanks for starting this.

I see Tom Cooper still playing for the Dutch. Netherlands v Bangladesh, hopefully they can compete.

I am eagerly waiting for India-Pakistan world t20 match on 19 March. It's venue is shifted from Dharamsala to Kolkata and it's great as now 80,000 people can watch the match from stadium instead of 25,000.
How many will you watch it and whom you support??

i wish some minor never heard of country would come out of nowhere and win it. It would serve two purposes, it would be good for the expansion of the game and it would prove T20 is rubbish.

Rubbish is possibly a bit strong.

T20 is great for introducing these newer nations to the great world of Cricket. I would doubt that anyone that has never seen a game of Cricket before would sit down at a test match and enjoy it. Once they start understanding the nuances they will gravitate towards the 4/5 day game.

With regards to the T20 leagues I think they should be restricted to the players from the home country. There are so many opportunities for players just to chase a quick buck that I do fear for the future of test match cricket.
