APS: 2008/09 Season

What are everyones thoughts about the APS in 2 years time with some of the up and coming talent in the year 9 and 10 sides?

CGS-Everitt, Handel
MGS- Betts, Keath
XC- Ryan, Goss, Curtain
St.K- Griffiths
HC-Williamson

Re: Aps 2008/9

CGS will have a sensational bowling attack in two years time. Next year we are gonna be hopeless but the year after, wow.

Rowan Jayaweera and Will Gilmour are gun young batsman, Rob Handel and Lloyd Everett are both gun bowlers. Rowan is also a very good bowler.

Re: Aps 2008/9

from GC
we will have the same bowling attack, possibly stronger
alex carr and tom summers in year 10 at the moment will dominate as will ned 'lucy ross' rogerson and tom beaumont and maddie

Re: Aps 2008/9

MGS will win the premiership easily next year. Gooley, Shaw, Payne, Thomas, Land, healey, Wilson, bett, morris and keath have already played, with the likes of voyage (35 wickets so far in y10) and ty bean (Australian open age indigenous cricket team) to take final 2 spots. It is a formidable line-up

Re: Aps 2008/9

Brighton will have a simliar line up such as Davis, Walker, Roney, Lees, Tregear and Graham and will get Martin to keep, and Michael Singh and Plummeridge (both year 9). WIll be a good all-round side

shaw- absalute hack bowls more fukin beamers than he bowls balls that hit the deck and is a ******** batsmen that just edges nd cover drives everything
payne-as his name says painfully slow to watch
gooley-is just weird and a fairley ******** batsmen shat himself agaisnt the likes of forbes and paz
land- bowls slow left armers that will get dispatched by most half decent batsmen
mgs wont be very good next year watch out fa the scotch boys next year with a few young guns and a few year 12z ta take the premiership

Re: Aps 2008/9

lets not beat around the bush.... clearly HC will get more scholarships, so they will defs be up there, traditionally scotch and mgs are strong and xavier, caulfield and GC could be up there aswell.... its to hard to predict 08/09 results unless some team has like 5 year 10s in it this year

Re: Aps 2008/9

GC in 07/08
Rogerson yr11 (opening bowler can bat - 78* and 5/40 vs caufield)
Lugg yr11 (leg spin bowler and bats 1st drop - h.s 75 vs scotch)
Beaumont yr11 (1st change bowler - best 4/20 vs brighton)
Summers yr 10 (opening bowler - gets movment - best 3/? vs xavier)
Nice yr11 (opening bat h.s 65 vs scotch)
Butler yr 11 (currently injured played 3 one dayers and is our fastest bowler best 3/35 vs skevs)
Kitchen yr 11(opening batsmen - FREAKSHOW - aps team chance - h.s this year 181 vs brighton)
Roberts yr 11 (tight offspinner - bowls 25+ overs a game with mostly maidens)
Carr yr 10 (currently injured - previously opening bowler - absolute gun - best 4/few (in 06) (including 1st year 9 ever to get a hat trick) vs skevs
Jack Wood yr8 (gun batsman captained his u/15 rep team - hasnt played 1st game yet)

that is some possible players for next season - most have played a full aps season already

who the **** are you 'walk em'? The only y11's or 10's in the scotch are clayton (turned rebel, all washed up, used to be overrated but now everyone knows how bad he is, has struggled to make a run in first innings this year) and grose (who cant bat, and never threatens any batsmen with his slow bowling and lands everything in the perfect place for batsmen to smash him.

Scotch are hopeless.

tyrone bean is overated. sad to say that it clearly doesnt take much to get into the indigineous first XI. i dont know of any aborigines that play cricket. theyre good at footy, but lets be honest they suck at cricket as a whole. so yeah, not much of a feat there.

arent they going to south africa? or have already been?

HC won't be getting any scholarships. they've received too much negative publicity from it. maybe one or two, but no more than the rest of the schools i think.

how has clayton turned rebel?? and how is he bad? has made about 300 runs this year wich probably isnt anough all i can say is when you're playing district 2's nearly district ones and play under 17 vic then you can go around saying that ******** about him he's been playing this cricket season since july dont you think most people would be over cricket by then? and for grose very good bowler takes usually 2 or 3 wickets when needed aand does the job backing up forbes and paz so you cant say he's ******** mate you just know wmgs are a ********ing joke mate aspecialy when you got an arrogant ******** like shaw leading your team next year shopuld be a great year for mgs|@

Mate you've got no idea wat you're on about. clayton is a gun and smacks it further than you ever could and hell go further in cricket than you. He's a funny man aswell. not sure how hes a rebel? he may not hav made many runs this year but thats cause all the aps bowlers are ****** that he doesnt care. btw there is also a yr 10 in the team macmillan. absolute gun . grose can bowl aswell.

Re: Aps 2008/9

Next yr scotch may find it hard to fill a full team as good as this yr.. they only have three gun players to stay behind (Mcmillan, Grose and Clayton) with 8 yr 12's leavin.. got some emos and ******** kickers in the seconds they might get a game, but wouldnt be as strong as this tight nit group...

although scotch have a bloody solid yr 9 squad this yr, and would put it past more than a few of them gettin a game next yr.. solid bats and bowlers to come in future years!

Yeah, thats what i thought originally but in the vic side alone there were 4 indigineous players who play PREMIER 1s. Not to mention players from other states, but it was open age and Ty dominated. He is awesome
