Finally India have had a chance to bat first in this series. The old pair of Ganguly and Sachin got India to a good start yet again. Sachin looked terrible at the start but credit to him for fighting through it. Now its important that he accelerates and makes up for the balls consumed. India should be looking at somewhere around 300 if they want to win the match.

Sachin's innings comes to an end just as he was looking dangerous. I think he got distracted by the lbw appeal and went for a non existent single. India have accelerated in the last few overs and this wicket might just slow them down. I'm surprised that Dravid has come in. Uthappa is much more aggressive and I feel that he would have been the right choice.

he play slow but it was important to not get out because we need the good opening partnerships.Dada came back and played very well today but yuvraj was in good form and its bad that he got out early.

:cool the wicket of symonds was very important. brilliant bowling in the death by india. 1st ODI win for Dhoni! maybe hayden should been the man of the match but they gave it to symonds last match instead of yuvraj.

Yeah a win for India finally. This goes to prove that India are not comfortable chasing a total. Ganguly's return had immediate results with India getting off to a good start. The quick runs by Dhoni and Uthappa proved to be very important in the end. R.P. Singh was expensive in the beginning but made up for it by bowling tightly in the end and getting the important wicket of Symonds. India's opening bowlers still remain to be a concern. It's been Zaheer and the 2nd bowler(Sreesanth or RP) who have leaked runs. While Pathan and Harbhajan have done a very good job.

Good fightback by India today, keeps the series alive. Also, with it coming down to the last over it really helps the 50 over game.

yeah india need the symonds wickets but it was bad that sreesanth drop him... i hope he gets out early because then everyone will hate sreesanth.... australia look in confusion against spinner.... dhoni thinking smartly and getting the spinners to bowl maximum
