There is also a one off Twenty20 game that will be played between India and Australia on 1st March.

My money is on Australia. India are not so strong in ODI's. Dhoni and Yuvraj are struggling with form and there will be a lot of new faces in the team so its hard to predict how they will fare. Sri Lanka are a strong team but I don't like their chances against Australia. It will be the last international series of Adam Gilchrist's career and I'm sure he would be eager to make an impact on it.

Re: CB Series

Im going to the game at the WACA, Australia v Sri Lanka. Hopefully it can be as exciting as the corrosponding game last year, Australia v New Zealand.

Out of Sri Lanka and India, who do you guys think will win/get into the finals?

Re: CB Series

I have a feeling that Sri Lanka will get to the finals ahead of India, but it's a tough one to call.

Australia should get there, especially with home advantage.

Re: CB Series

sri lanka only play well at home....india will go to the final...it will be very hard to beat australia in odi but if sehwag performs well then india can put pressure..sehwag has big responsibility to play well because dada wont be opening now :(...

Re: CB Series

Ah the CB series...memories. England are the current champions. Colly, Colly, Colly.

Re: CB Series

another poor performance by india.
lee was at his best today. he has become a bigger threat these days. rain could make the game interesting but australia are in the drivers seat right now.

Re: CB Series

Tendulkar was very unlucky to get out hit wicket.
Pathan got some swing in the first over. Lets see what other bowlers can do. If we get a few early wickets pressure will be on Australia. They dont have Ponting today.

Re: CB Series

Yeah just noticed that they do. I heard from the stupid Ravi Shastri that Australia will miss Ponting. Well the only chance for India is if this game doesn't resume. If its a 20 over game then Australia will just need 30 odd in next 16 overs to win.

Re: CB Series

wow 3 quick wickets and the game was just becoming interesting but its raining again. the weather is not good i think the game is going to be washed out.

Almost_Austwick said:
How did Tendulkar hit his wicket?  Falling over or pushed back by pace?
he tried to nudge the ball on the leg side and went back too much on the backfoot. his heel just hit the stump and the bails fell.

Re: CB Series

It has been officially abandoned. Indians should get a bit of confidence from the bowlers performance but they need to work on the batting.

Re: CB Series

Nah, in regular conditions they probably wouldnt have taken those wickets. The one that James Hopes got, on a true pitch that would've been 4, but it nipped back a bloody mile. Its a shame the rain stopped play, as both teams would've considered their chances for the win. But India probably do need to work on their batting. Will be interesting to see how they shape up against SL on the same wicket

Re: CB Series

yeah you are right but the bowlers cant say "i wouldnt have taken those wickets if the pitch didnt give any assistance. i just got extremely lucky". they have to take something positive out of this game. i hope they can bowl well in the coming games as well but i doubt it because our odi bowling has been poor. anyone knows when zaheer will be fit? i think hes out for the whole series.

Re: CB Series

Tomorrow's match could be competitive but I think Sri Lanka will win. They have a more experienced and established side so they have the upper hand, especially because Jayasuriya has recovered from the injury and will play. No good news for India though. Yuvraj is still not 100% certain to play.

Re: CB Series

Someone has to fire tomorrow for India to win. Its got to be Tendulkar or Sehwag. I have lost all faith in Dhoni. He has been very unsuccessful on this tour.

Re: CB Series

dhoni proved you wrong!....dhoni and gambhir saved india today otherwise they would be all out for 200 again....267 is good score...gambhir is played well in both the games... i think now he is starting to become a good batsman..
