Commonwealth Bank Series Game 3 - Australia vs Sri Lanka at SCG

Game Three has just started at the SCG between Australia and Sri Lanka.

Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. They're currently 0/28 after six overs, Matt Hayden, who is back into the team has scored 25 of those with Adam Gilchrist only on three. Hayden has had the majority of the strike so far.

There's two changes to the Australian team, Hayden who is back into the side is in for Brad Haddin and Brad Hogg comes into the team while Ashley Noffke has been dropped.

Sri Lanka did not make any changes to the side that played on Tuesday Night.

Both games in this series both far have been washed out due to rain, hopefully the series can get underway properly tonight.

Australia crushed Sri Lanka by 128 runs. Sangakkara providing the only resistance with 42 in a disasterous run chase to be bowled out for 125.

Nathan Bracken provided a MOTM performance with his 5 for 47 and Michael Clarke played well for his 77 not out. Thankfully the game was not interrupted by rain.

Re: Commonwealth Bank Series Game 3 - Australia vs Sri Lanka at SCG

Too easy for the Aussies in the end. The pitch was difficult to bat on and 250 proved to be far too much for Sri Lanka to chase. Their reply turned out to be pretty measly, they couldn't even score half on what Australia managed.

Onto the fourth match now, Australia plays India at the MCG on Sunday.
