It's true becko, the first thing IPL asked me when i came down to watch last sunday was "where's becko, have you seen becko" haha. seems im quiet luvd gcaipl

We at Thomson just want to know when are you going to come support us? dnt watch divvy2 realli, mayb da manifold game

And to add to that yes Renny is correct, each club may have one overseas player per grade :) and at this moment in time there isn't any pressure on McCoy in the 1s, he'll come good, his a good cricketer who just needs to spend some time in the middle, hopefully this week against the Highton Heat. hope he aint gettin paid per run  ---- 4is sake!!

Sorry to dissapoint but the overseas players at Thomson don't get paid.

Our game this week should be quite a good contest, both teams seem to lift a little bit against each other and after last season's 10th wicket 70 run partnership, very tough to pick a winner.

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

Well the STICKMAN nearly stole the show for the Dino's on Sunday, a couple of telling boundries and a big six. St. Joey's dogged medium pace attack had the answers backed by fanno's straight breaks!!!!;)

Disapointing loss. Gotta cop all the crap now, on the chin.

Great knocks by Harmon 197 (St.J) and Robbie Evans 130no (NDCC) in the two's Sat.

Doesn't matter where or what grade you play, always a pleasure watching good clean hitting. Well done lads.

Ants or anyone else; can someone give us the lowdown on Ben Harmon? Perrenial 2's player at St Joeys; leaves for one year, plays in a 1st XI Div 1 premiership at North then goes back to St Joeys to play twos again. I can't work it out. Very neat bat when on song and hard to get out. I would imagine he would play 1sts at most Divvy 1 clubs. Lads, any thoughts?

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

as for the szponars and armistead... there only young yes...but i can see braden and anthony making just as many runs as wat mitch troy and ash mclean would of

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

Muzza was sending em down last night as well, with a new nut at about 6.45 with the clouds rolling in, telling us how he wants to bowl at someones throat!

mate he actually played the first game in there 3's this year..

as for leaving north i didnt really understand it.... his head was on the chopping block grand final week but the club stuck with him hoping that he'd come good for us... in the end he didnt and he left... where as the hard luck story of kurt hiller playing every game and getting dropped for the final.. he's still around and doing his part for the club

a lot of the old blokes at north were questioning the NDCC's bowling attack on saturday night after the news came thru... but well done to him i spose

When ever someone makes a big score, 9 out of 10 will question the quality of the attack?

Harmon had some luck and ran with his chances. He made 197 and I'm sure not one person out there wouldn't take that for themselves. I suppose when you win the game very quickly, you don't have a lot of pressure directly on you.

Credit where Credit is due.

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

Mr Parker,
why would you be worried what is written on here about GWSC?? Would you be better off concentrating on what you can control at your club rather than rubbish that you cannot?
Clearly anything on here should not have any influence on the performance of your players and you should be embarassed that you have responded like this.
For the sake of the club please focus your attention to winning games of cricket.

Haha Ozzyboogs is back in town alright, made a swashbuckling 16 and tied down an end for 3 overs 0-8 :D

McCoy just needs to spend sometime in the middle and adapt to the different pace of the wickets, hopefully he gets going this weekend.

probably no better time to spend time in the middle when playing marshall.

and....... giving yourself votes when u get 80 when the game was over!
whats the go with that???????:confused::confused::confused:

We batted an extra 5 overs after we passed their score to try and get a lead for the second innings so we could push for outright points, the 30 balls would be the "game over" you're referring to. I had probably half the strike, if you could find someone else to give the votes to, be my guest.

As for the pom - he'll come good, were 2-1 and he hasn't fired a shot yet so we can only get stronger up the top of the order one would assume.
