Gee real difficult to pick the 4 that are almost certainly likely to go through.. This is why quarter finals are so ****ing ridiculous, basically a whole month of cricket just jostling for positions in the knockout stage.

Australia, New Zealand, England and Sri Lanka should all get through. Scotland looked impressive in their demolition of Ireland but whether they can bring that game against the stronger nations is another story. Bangladesh should be competitive but rely on too few players, the pitches here won't suit them either. I also expect Afghanistan to be moderately competitive against the lower sides also but probably won't have enough to beat the better teams.

Yes Afghanistan did well against India yesterday. You would be inclined to think India are in trouble with such a poor performance against a very minnow, minnow team.

Like NAB games in the AFL that suck people in every season, the form from teams in the practice games will mean absolutely jack shit imo.

I don't think Afghanistan are as much as a minnow as what people say they are. Sure, they are an associate side but have had a rapid rise over the past 18 months. They're in with a chance of winning a couple of games.

And finally we are away.

Good start from New Zealand to be 160 after just losing the 2 openers after 30 overs. Should be looking at around 300 here.

And now SL right back in the contest with Mendis picking up Williamson and Taylor in consecutive deliveries.
