This is a long series which will end in early september and looking forward for this especially to see how India cope with these condition's, will England be able to come back ?????? only time can tell my friend.

Can't stand either of these teams..
well test for India tbh this will set them up for the world cup same sort of fast wickets accept the ball won't swing as much as it does in england but overall it's different to the sub continental wickets so real test for them. As for england really they have no excuse home conditions they have a good team they haven't clicked yet lets hope for there own sake that all there departments would click.

The ball swings more in England than just about anywhere else in the world.

Should be a good series this one. England are in some trouble and will be expected to come out and show some fight after being embarrassed by Sri Lanka. Cook is under pressure and needs to score runs and lead well to make sure he stays as England's captain once the series comes to a close. I reckon the Indians will be quietly confident they can go there and win the series and also inflict more damage on England's tense state of mind at the moment.

I'm also liking the fact that this series is a best of five. I thought it would be four but five is good.

Cook should not be captain personally it's affecting his batting and clearly making his team loose, England lacks the big top order partnerships that countries like australia, south africa etc have.

He needs to show intent against India and get some form bat with the bat. If he can't do that he's gone.

The ironic thing about all of this is that their best batsman from the Ashes series in Pietersen was dumped and now the top order are struggling to make any sort of impact whatsoever.

Should be an interesting series.

England with a brittle batting line-up and India with an average bowling line-up and a team that historically struggles overseas and in seaming conditions.

India 9 for 417, wow this final wicket partnership starting to get really embarrassing for England, 71 runs... They started the morning so well too.

England 2 for 146 in reply, what a dull match so far, looking like a draw at the moment with the way this pitch is playing.

5 for 197 the pitch starting show some uneven bounce with that Ali dismissal trying to leave one, England in some serious poo now!

Some rearguard action from Root and Broad with the bat gets them out of the hole a bit, still finish the day 9 down and 105 behind India. Hopefully we still see a result.

And finally England all out for 496 with a 39 run lead, amazing stuff, highest 10th wicket partnership ever beating Hughes and Agar.
