IPL Game 7 - Deccan Chargers vs Delhi Daredevils at R Ghandi Int. Stadium, Hyderabad
Game 7 of the IPL is between the Deccan Chargers and the Delhi Daredevils in the Chargers home city of Hyderabad.
The Chargers struggled in their first game on a pitch less than conducive for batting. They only managed 110 which proved to be a modest total but in the end it was never going to be enough against the Knight Riders who overtook their total with five wickets in hand. Despite the loss, the Chargers would have been pleased with their bowling efforts, particularly the performances by Chaminda Vaas and young Pragyan Ohja who both took two wickets.
The Daredevils though had a win in their first encounter thrashing a disappointing Rajasthan Royals outfit by nine wickets in game three. Both the bowlers and the batters were on fire with the Devils far too good for the Royals who looked out of touch. McGrath, Maharoof and Bhatia all bowled superbly combining to give up only 49 runs from the 12 overs they bowled between them. Gambhir and Dhawan easily accounted for the small total with the bat, using a little over 15 overs in the process to knock off the required runs.
This will be another good game tonight, the Devils looked great in their first game and will be looking to join the Knight Riders on two wins while the Chargers will want to win this game as it will be hard to come back from a win-loss record of 0-2. Looks to be a cracker.
