Johnson sent home!?!?
after grabbing 4 wickets in the India match he gets sent home because the squad needs to be 'trimmed' to 15.
AUSTRALIA chairman of selectors Andrew Hilditch today defended the decision to send Mitchell Johnson home early from Malaysia after he starred with the ball against India.
Johnson grabbed four wickets in eight deliveries, including Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar, but will return to Australia along with Mark Cosgrove and Phil Jaques as part of a pre-planned move to trim the 18-man squad back to 15.
Hilditch said the call was made in order to ensure all players got maximum chances to get onto the field, with Mike Hussey, Andrew Symonds, Brett Lee and Matthew Hayden all yet to play a game in the series.
ok, fine if they want to trim the roster but too bad then for someone esle, this guy has been doing super, there's no reason why they should have sent him home.
