The side is going ok at the moment and I hope after xmas you keep going and win another flag to go with the many in the past.
ROAD DOG;197741 said:having spent the glory years at the club still dont have an A grade flag under my belt would be nice but not getting ahead of myself we still have a lot of work to do. also i need to be able to keep my spot.
bomber27;197362 said:No I don't have any inside info from the associations. Buts lets just take a deep breath here. This merger has been on the cards for a number of years and has never got off the ground because both execs could not not agree on certain things. This seems to have at least been sorted out a little and gone to the next stage. We can talk all we like about the merger but until we see By-Laws in writing and something more concrete to vote on, then this is a long way off.
I think supporters and players of clubs think its so straight forward. When it comes down to a vote and your club and competition's future is on the line, watch out for a few clubs to do a back flip.
Remember our first vote was only on some guidelines in a discussion paper. These can always change without consent. By-Laws are the Key.

And a little birdie told me bomber27 that you are on the wet weather commitee.
banno36;198261 said:The shambles at MMVCA HQ continues. Didn't matter anyway on Saturday but lets just cover the decks every week and make it standard procedure.
Agree with Steward being the most respected player in the comp.
Match-winners are pretty much on the money...have to have Wardy in there
News coming from JP Fawkner is that Warren Parker has broken his finger and might have to return in February...major blow for the Roys.
With the 20/20 comp after Xmas and the Australia Day weekend its hard to see the catch-up game being played on a Sunday. Unfortunately the most likely way will be for a fixtured 2-dayer to be shortened to a one-dayer, therefore playing 3 one-dayers after Xmas which would suck. May as well be a one-day comp.
bomber27;198396 said:Our club is sick of one dayers as well. Simple scrap the 20/20, its a waste of time.
ALCOA;198403 said:Oh so Bomber you're on the wet weather committee...........what were the discussions on Saturday morning then?
Yeah I agree scrap the 20/20 pyjama cricket and replay the round 7 match instead. Although they may need two sundays cos of the c turf matches played on sunday that got cancelled too.......wnat a nightmare
