wests over st marys - bowling depth esp if barker plays
st andrews to crush merlo - punky only one with enough ticker to make runs and jolley to get some on the board, scotty to take 5
st franics over easts - lister to make his mark this week but saints allround game to get them over the line, harding to make his 1st score of the season
glenroy over pacco - greany to dominate the game with bat and ball watch out for him this season, pascoe - worst club in the competition
haig to beat socials - minor upset; want to see if pakistans greatest allround namesake can produce
barkley over sunshine(not hearing good things about them this year at all) - crusty to take 5+

I only hope that you don't come out and say who you are cause word around the clubs are once people can confirm who you are they will be out in force.... I personally think mum comments are harsh and something 15yr old's comment on but hey each to their own....

As for St Mary's a win is a win i believe same as horse racing 1st past the post doesn't matter how you get there it's points on the board and by all remarks they look like getting stronger wait and see i guess... St Mary's have lost their opener bowler who is a big loss and have gained a batsmen so they have the same cattle pretty much so it's up to the players to prove that last season was no fluke.... Big task for B Hunter this year...

I reckon Smoke Newton from St Andrews will have the biggest influence on the competition this year simply because at this stage he seems to be the stand out bowler with most sides' stocks depleted. There will be some big scores after Xmas and a quality bowler will count for plenty as the season progresses.
If FFNB can perform half as well as he talks he will have a lot of sides on the ropes. His combative talk and imtimidating style may even force some sides into forfeiting the task rather than take on the challenge of confronting him and his boys. If this is the case then West Coburg could pick up some very easy points.

For those interested ....my tips for round 4 (if we dont get rain)
St Marys easily over West Cob - West have a poor bolwing attack, Callum must get wickets the rest are poor and not good enough to knock over St Marys batting line up
St Andrews in a canter over Merlo - Merlo have same problem as West Cob, bowling attack is poor, too much reliance on Punky with bat and ball.
Glenroy in an out right over Pacco!! - Wardy will clean up and Pacco's batting is very brittle. Not sure about being worse club in comp though!!??
Haig to get up in a close one over Socials - Stevenson to take 7 wickets. Haig need to bowl first or they cant win.
Barkly St to have a convincing win over Sunny Heights - Barkly are improving and harder to beat, on the back of a solid batting performance, they will win easily.
East Coburg in an upset over St Francis - Lister and Sean to hit their straps and make plenty aganst a one man St Francis attack.

Weather report for Thursday onwards is ordinary to say the least. We will get washed out this weekend...
As for Cole Reserve, the outfield is an absolute disgrace in value for shots at the minute. Grass is long, so scores of 150 odd may be the norm.
