Have heard that Miller might not be a done deal at STAB, doesnt want to play div 3 and hes on Geelongs shopping list.

would be a big loss for St Albans but being in Division 3 was always going to be a major obstacle for Millsy to play. If it was only for one year then maybe he might still play.

AB1 make sure the blonde bombshell that is Matt Slater puts pen to paper at Sprign Creek reserve soon, Division 1 bound otherwise.

Have heard early words that Lara looked to have picked up an ex-Prahan player and another batsmen from Ballarat.

I thought Thomson were front-runners? He keeps forwarding me the e-mails from various clubs who only pay one player.... We have a giggle. Although one can never be totally sure, i reckon he'll be there with us next season.

We haven't got enough room in the cap for him + we already have a class legspinner haha ;) The only way he'll leave Torquay is if some club can get him some Saturday night accomodation closer to 4play.

Highly doubt it, but we are still on the look out. I don't think our sponsor is very happy with the results from previous overseas players.

We will look at ways of getting one over but they may have to fund their own trip.

Wonder who Mr Sizzle is......?

Sean, if you insist on getting them from the hotbed of cricket that is Lancashire, you are bound to end up disappointed.....

I know of a few cubs who have approached a player agency over here, as the agency has asked me for a bit of info on various clubs. Don't know of any definite placements yet though.

hi i might be moving to geelong in august and looking to join a club down there.
can any one give me any help on which are the best clubs to join? i'm not really bothered about how successful a club has been just clubs that are on the rise or close to becoming finals contenders ? are all geelong clubs turf?

To be fair you've been pretty unlucky how some of them have performed. Leechy is an absolute gun in England, just probably concentrating on other things when he was there! McCoy is hit or miss, shame he missed.

Kettle is only a young lad, Davies is solid. Bring back Bolger?! Bramhall 2nd X1's finest!

Maybe you should get a bowler next time?

And it's Cheshire not Lancashire AB1!

if ya wanna play hard wicket, go to the bellarine league, gca 3 is utter shit. if ya wanna play good standard turf GCA 1 and nothing else. wallington on the rise in bellarine league, south barwon on the irse in GCA 1, unlucky to miss premierships in last two years (like that dazza). what league have ya come from and what do you offer as a player. what were your stas last year. you will get heaps of good advice on hear.

Brad Stacey.. in a very stern voice from Bell Post Hills treasurer is going nowhere in 09-10 and will still be part of the BPH 1st XI, in the same conversation tells me Simon Anderson has told them his intentions and wants to move to the hill.. but weather he is given a clearance is another thing :p..

Would also depend on where you were going to live in the geelong area?
